  1. thanks for the words zh and ltooth, but i think well see the bm jumping from the balcony at the next shareholders meeting yelling something about tyranis. just so this isnt just hanging out there.. dude, if youre serious you need to take it easy. there is always people to talk with and help you get through something like this until you reach a point of acceptance. very troubled individuals do these things and its no one factor that has more significance than another.
  2. one reason is if you ever hear people talking badly about a gm product it invariably comes back to its a POS, it was recalled for this that and the other thing. what goes around comes around i guess. personally, recalls are bad for everyone. i dont like to see them at all i dont care who they are from and ill tell you why. if a car or truck has a problem and they are on the road, its now my problem too. engine fires, faulty steering...i dont want to be diving behind that guy on the free way wondering if he checked his mail lately. i dont want a neighbor stuck in their car with their wife and kids screaming. recalls arent good for anyone. and as weve seen they are happening to everyone. its not something to celebrate. as far as mpg, get real. what does that have anything to do with anything. aside from a hybrid most tallies are somewhere between 1 and 3. whooopy woo. theres something to celebrate. alternative fuels average 3-or 6 maybe even lower, but there are those thatd argue hey, its better than oil. really whats more important? i wonder sometimes.
  3. oh with the world cup on tv now everyone on my block decided to break out the soccer ball. i cant tell you how many car alarms have been going off. now thats a real pain in the ass. hate to sound like the old man, go play on your own property but they are, they just kick the damn ball all over the place. --and as far as peeing goes. near my car, on my car or by my car you better get your ass out of there if i see you. only once i saw someone pissing on my neighbors truck about 3 houses down. didnt care. told em to get the f@#k away from there. go find an alley or a tree someplace. that aint cool. of all the places, why pick my car.
  4. what? no. its 20 for the two of us.
  5. to answer your question, i think the g5 will sell just fine. i think people who liked the grand am would be more inclined to buy this than a cobalt or even g6 to some extent. although, i think theyre finally warming up to that one, too.
  6. dude stop writing IN ALL CAPS. its a pain in the ass to read.
  7. the sale is on as we sit here with this back and forth. as long as people are going to the showrooms and buying cars its a good thing. the thing that concerns me the most, and i dont know how true it is, is the credit policy and the possibility of repos. i cant for the life of me see this as that ill conceived. i hope someone is keeping track and can at least verify that these credit checks arent as lenient as what has already been said.
  8. so its finally happened. the bm has crossed over into conspiacy theorist wacko nutbar. pardon the generalization. go ahead, blame the illuminati and the zionist machine. i think it was c&g member haypops who said a while back "buickman a sicker f@#k than you first thought" as true today, as it was when it was written. north*--dont try to reason with this.. its an exercise in futility. yes after many long winded sessions it can be treated but as far we now know these futire products and concepts are nothing more than illusion while the company is pillaged from the inside. hell, they may even be hollograms. and by the time 2008 rolls around wagoner is on a beach in tahiti earning 20%. and hes with amelia earhart and bigfoot swimming in the fountain of youth. its like all the other conspiracy theorist whacks that dont acknowledge 911 or pearl harbor as deliberate acts of war committed against this country by people that hate the US and democracy. its pure garbage. facts are almost meaningless. we have INDISPUTABLE proof of those events, and others, too, yet stories evolve and change. its called the fruit loop. if rick wagoner was axed tomorrow and someone filled those heavy shoes and continued along the same path, that person too would be condemned as having a role. gm is rebuilding, but tearing itself down first. perhaps bm's love for the company is so pure, so overwhelming that it needs to be justified through grandious and decadent reasoning because it is so painful to witness. rick wagoner was not chosen and put in place. it isnt armegeddon and good and evil meeting in some spectacular showdown. bro'..... break the pills in half next time.
  9. [Matthew 7:26] "A foolish man who who built his house on sand.'' now before we all go run to get our bibles, just think about that for a second. is the plan the sand? or is the plan the house. maybe the foolish man is gm. this is a load of the stinkiest h*rsesh*t thats ever wafted, its no wonder they told you to take your plan and leave. thats the other half.
  10. this is pointless, but here goes. still spinning and only barking out half of the story. as the big boys try to make a serious effort to fundamentally change the way business is being run you refuse to see it any other way than your own delusional smoke and mirrors act . do you really believe wearing a sandwich board sign on a street corner offering a 50 bucks and a free ride in a corvette all while at the same time cutting traditional sources of revenue is going to get more customers back into the dealerships and solve the problems that are on such a grand scale you cant even see them? its not personal, your plan is just not that good and you wont address anyone as to why it is. you just contiue to attack like a scalded puppy.
  11. yeah, you tell him. dont take no sh*t from nobody. --jimmy conway does anyone know what the statistics in the US are for something like this? id like to see that breakdown.
  12. i was just hearing more about this latest times fiasco, the one i mentioned briefly above, and i dont think it was such a bad idea for this to have been leaked. to take it further i also think it wasnt such a bad idea to have been printed. if someone can figure out something, especially when its regarding our national security, its important to realize that maybe others have been able to figure it out as well. it was possibly a good service for this country and the free way of life we are all so accustomed. and not just here but anywhere... im not getting political and sure as hell not defending the NYtimes but gotta take the good with the bad sometimes. just for what its worth.
  13. they could call it the tempura or American crap-mobile and it wouldnt make a difference to some. no, not everything is rosy at gm or the domestic manufacturers but i or almost anyone could have told you that. analyst, thats the job i want. id settle for consultant, but analyst seems to be where the real action is. lets engage in a debate with nothing but semantics and facts from anyone anywhere to prove an hypothesis.
  14. toyotas new motto "the tundra, so good if you throw it up into the air itll turn into sunshine" on a serious note though its nice to see our guys and girls have a more fighting chance because of this, rather than soldering tin cans and what ever scrap metals they could find laying around.
  15. well, after finally getting to watch this, no. the bruised ego and comes through the rants is also written elsewhere. i could get into exactly what i thought or my observations but ill leave it at he had a nice suit.
  16. all right, lets not get too carried away. lesbian nazi hookers abducted by aliens and forced into weight loss camps isnt exactly on the same level. neither is elvis stole my baby or if you are bm, rick wagoner ate my baby. although, one wonders whats gonna happen if theres an investigation by washington into some of that crack NYtimes reporting. making all the news thats fit to print. edit: by the way youd be surprised at how many people only buy the times only so they can wrap it around their copy of the news or post. and the others who just like to conveniently have that stock page open on a bus or subway.
  17. and then to top it all off he continues to shoot himself in the foot. there seems to be no growth or adaptability here. you get more bees with honey than you do with a shotgun. and the tangent continues. even if by some miracle someone somewhere decided, sure its ok, that must be a first few awkward moments. "sorry about all that red ink rick and how inept and unqualified blather i ranted on about for months" no, not a team player in the least. at least thats not what we are seeing so far. im not gonna hold my breath.
  18. this car from the way it looks now has the potential to be the go to car. by that anyone who is looking at a sporty kind of car. maybe the z's or even some mustangs, or the eclipses...maybe even a few civics. it is thouroghly modern looking, has a good look to it, doesnt really conjure up the images of the 3rd generation that is so frequently seen of worlds wildest police videos or old reruns of cops. maybe people will default to this ride if the quaity, price, and look can all gel. and as far as polls go, with imaginary money its almost pointless. you can get an idea but its almost like asking someone what theyd do if they were president for a day. or if you ever play poker or bet with fake money. not quite the same, it becomes a very different game when theres nothing at stake. at least thats what they tell me.
  19. ya know, they gave him the time of day and probably didnt even take the time to baby step him through all the reasons why its not the best strategy but low and behold someone does and he does not defend it rationally or intelligently but simply says it will work, because i know it will work. he just sticks to those guns and refuses to comment on the critique, or at least rebut as to why... maybe one day him and the guy who invented beta max will share a padded room stroking eachother saying things like, it couldve worked, it shouldve worked if i only had the chance. unless of course the same guy invented vhs. and still nothing. is it time to move on yet? where are those damned tea leaves.
  20. yup, no prob. you took the time to write all that someone should actually read it, maybe even learn a thing or two. makes sense. oh, but just dont look behind the curtain. save yourself the trouble.
  21. but wait, these are only the first 20 steps. it starts to get really good after about step 42. then its nice and warmed up and by step 296 its smooth sailing towards profitibility and, yes thats right and market share? or was it 286? if i recall, step 327 is annoint bm ceo and king of GM.
  22. someones been buying into the bm propaganda. and whats the deal with "rabid" rick? is that the cute little pet name the decided on for him? i guess its more approachable than "red" ink. if im guessing correctly, this farago is using one of many many analysts and bm propaganda to make the end all be all definitive opinion...of course thats why theres so many "analysts". take enough stabs in the dark and your bound to hit something. what load of horsesh*t. this devils advocate bs is annoying. but how come people with opposing "opinion" are knows as evil twins? maybe its me. i love objective journalism. its a passion of mine.
  23. well it wasnt anything i wanted anyone to get their panties in a bunch about but the fct still remains theres a lot of paperwork and interest, and a lot of other costs too. i think the botton line objective now is good product. and from what ive seen its a comin'. lets keep them there fingers crossed. yes. yes. i wishi i had more time.
  24. wow, i never heard it put that way.
  25. short answer no. longer answer, yes. the solsice definately doesnt hurt them.
