Pontiac G8/Holden Commodore Confirmed
That white head-on shot is aesome. I love those fender arches.

the official I hate ROSIE O' DONNELL thread
My problem with her is that she is in absolutely no position to be judging anyone's morals. Whether she's fat or not has no bearing on my opinion of her. She is a phony, period. Anyone ever see her stand up comedy routines before she started "The Rosie O'Donnell Show"? They were full of crudeness and vulgarity, yet she deems herself enough of an upstanding citizen to be able to publicly judge anyone who gets her bloomers in a bunch. Hopefully this feud with Trump teaches her to STFU and look in the mirror first before launcing her next little tirade.

Another reason to dislike japanese car companies...
Soon, this country will consist of nothing but upper management, tradesmen, and real estate agents selling our land to foreign owned companies. For the President who actually has the balls to take action on this, I will personally add his head to Mount Rushmore.

the official I hate ROSIE O' DONNELL thread
Rosie likes to stick her nose where it doesn't belong. She tried going after Kelly Ripa last month but Kelly diffused it. I've never been a big fan of Trump and his TV persona, but I give it credit for going into the trenches and duking it out with her, because sometimes that just needs to be done. Trump looks like a baby in this one, but Rosie's been cut a lot of slack by the media. She's a disgustingly crass hypocrite who has absolutely no right judging anyone's morals. If you're old enough to see any of her stand up comedy pre-"The Rosie O'Donnell Show" you'll see exactly what I mean. Of course, being as cynical as I am about the entertainment industry, part of me sees this as a fabricated feud designed to pump up the ratings of both their shows.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
The MKR is a great car in its own right...tone down the grille a bit and it'd be the perfect car to lead a Lincoln revival. Nothing about it's design says Cadillac, though.

Another LaxSoup spy pic
The LaCrosse doesn't deserve all this hate. I put over 500 miles on a loaded CXS last year as a rental, and I was sorry to have to give it back. I even washed it the morning of my flight home. No, it's not the best car in its class, nor is it overly exciting, but it's a very likable car that's easy to live with and willl take whatever you throw at it. The Super makes sense to inject a little life into this LaCrosse until the new one comes on EpII. They could just not change it at all until its lifecycle expires (SEE: S10, Cavalier), but there'd be complaints about that too. I just hope that the appearance changes we see on the Super make it to other LaCrosses as well.

GM Goes Extra Mile With Camaro
Those will probably be the top optional wheel. I'm sure the base wheel will be something like a 16 or 17. Agreed on the 3.9. IIRC someone here or on Cz28 said that GM is not going to bother certifying Zeta for the 3.9L. The HV family looks to be on its way out.

Pontiac G8/Holden Commodore Confirmed
I'll take one in blue

When are we going to see the 08 Cobalt?
If the MCE is as extensive as has been talked about, it should be on the auto show circuit. Hold out till April (NYIAS, the last major show) if you can. Though if anything I'd bank on some announcement at Chicago next month. Chevy never does any major unveilings at New York.

Pontiac G8/Holden Commodore Confirmed
Sci: Check with guionM who lives mainly over at camaroz28.com but posts here semi-frequently. He's seen the car in person in Australia, and according to him the shape is extremely sexy and aggressive in person - it's got the goods. I'll try to find his review of it for you, but trust me it's very positive. EDIT: here it is: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483451 And some "real world" pics of it as well: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=476049

Pontiac G8/Holden Commodore Confirmed
First off, Nice chop on the first page, NOS. So with this news, where does this leave the "Pontiac mule" that was spotted in Australia a couple of weeks ago. IIRC, thegriffon said that car had different sheetmetal than the Commodore but looked less like a Pontiac than the Commodore would. Is that car still on? As a Pontiac? Whatever it is, I'm very anxious to see the G8, as I'm readying a jump into something bigger with a stick in CY08. This and a CPO CTS are right now the top two contenders. I'd say that if it is to slot in where the GP is, it'll need to offer a V6 to offer something in the GP's current price bracket. Flybrian's powertrain lineup would work very well IMO. Remember, this isn't a GTO where offering a non-V8 would tarnish the name at all. The G8 is a clean slate for Pontiac.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
That's interesting. The new CTS hides its size pretty well. In this pic: the car looks very trim, almost like it shrunk down to the size of a 3 series. If what your saying is a reality, the STS/DTS have to either get bigger or die. I'm with evok on this car. Having been around for his lambasting of the STS when it came out, his words carry a ton of weight here. Give it a chance.

Once again, amateur photos > GM photographers. Very nice car all around. It took me a few years to warm up to the current CTS. This one is much more pleasing to the eye. Love the interior

First Look: 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP
I see...this is all a big plan. By making something so outrageously tacky, ugly, ricey, and anti-Pontiac, GM's setting things up so that we'll gladly accept the Holden-based GP replacement next month at Chicago. Brilliant move!

Busted my oil pan
Hmm. If the Aurora is one of those G-bods where you have to raise the car and lower the cradle to get the engine out, you might be able to get at it by getting the car up high enough, disconnecting the lower motor mounts, and lowering the cradle. The tough part will be supporting the engine...if you have a hoist or overhead pulley available, you can probably hook it up to the engine and put just enough tension on it so that it doesn't fall or damage the other motor mounts. Best of luck to you, Fly.

CONCEPT: Chevrolet Volt
See Toyota, you can make a gas-sipper that doesn't look like a rolling cockroach. This thing is awesome looking. The front fascia setup is especially sweet.

Might As Well Take Advantage of this Weather
As long as I can get water to flow through a garden hose, it's warm enough for me to wash the car. So, yeah, I went out there and washed it today of course. Since I did the wax/vacuum/armor-all/windows last week, I just did a regular wash, plus I had to take down all the X-mas stuff and get the water out of the pool cover. Tomorrow, the dog gets a bath.
