  1. i like them plain and whole. although they look beautiful on some dishes.
  2. rust is a shade of orange... amazingly if you put a good battery on it it fires right up. it makes me laugh every time. cylinders 1 and 3 have no compression and all the hydros leak and the bucket doesn't stay up. the shifter is an ol'nut smacker too. careful how you shift into second. Its a true beast they don't make them like that anymore.
  3. after meeting with the Veterns I headed up north, took the caprice up, to meet with some family. Did a couple of small projects i wanted to do to the cottage. Then Went and fired up the 57 A and C D17 i think. Ocnblu would probably know i think he fancies tractors if i remember correctly.
  4. i read, The Car That Could, but i cant remember it well. A good one with cool pics is The first 75 years of GM.
  5. how about renting a CAT 793 should get er done
  6. Wow... Sunday i went out and dropped $360 on a nitro Ofna 1/8 scale LX one. i felt the itch and bought one to add to the collection. HPI makes a good truck but watch the front A-arms and spur gears. I have quite a few of them i will try to get some pics up tomorrow. currently have 7. used to race several years ago electric carpet on road with my Team assciated TC3. one thing to rember RC=Money pit. Never let freinds drive them. Never try to Show off they will break it will cost you lot of money. Electrics replace motor brushes often! unless its brushless. GPmakes the best battery for the buck. Any questions ask i know a couple pro drivers the race them. they are always in so cal racing.
  7. I was just thinking i cant remember the last time a saw a three on the tree. I haven't drove one since i was 20 that was at least 23 years ago
  8. How about a Ford Aerostar? RWD v6 and you can get them with a 5 speed? I love RWD beasts from the past as much as the next guy but at 5 am when i drive my FWD Buick i could careless which wheels have the power going to them. I respect you very much for never breaking your promises, but it might be time to swallow your pride and get a 3800 W body. Great on gas, safe, very comfortable. I mean to back and forth to work its perfect then every go cruising or shopping take the Classics out. I saved $20 bucks last week by driving the LeSabre from the caprice. Thats a nice carry out dinner for free. I still feel the same at the end of the day.
  9. i have had it for a while and im starting to drive it alot more but here it is! the pink slice of heaven. Its off my phone so sorry for the quality this was i think 2-3 months ago. Very Clean. smooth ride too! dynaride. seems like every option at the time was checked.
  10. i will be honest though i pulled that out of my ass at the last second. I learned Duesenburg made a 16 cylinder today too! I need to put more thought into my posts from now on.
  11. 1919-1921 16 cylinder Land speed record car. I think it failed. but it won the french grand prix in 1921 I would love to own a Duesenburg SSJ too,but i don't think that would ever be possible. I can dream though. But to be more correct i should of said Marmon Series 16 4-Door Sedan 1933.
  12. I stand corrected "First Produced" American FWD 1929 Cord L-29 I would take a 1937 812 any day over the L-29 though First European FWD Alvis Model ? 1928 First Successful European FWD Citroën Traction Avant 1934 But i will say FWD is not the only reason i love the car. Like how RWD isn't the only reason you love Dual Cowl Phaetons.
  13. I disagree.. Its not a Toronado and it takes everything the Toronado was. The whole point was look at me I'm FWD the first in damn near 40 years! (reference CORD L-29?) (Peugeot or Renault made a FWD in that time frame but it was rubbish so we ignore it and that was Europe so who cares?) It was so innovative and so stylish. This proves that they can make a FWD coupe family car and not make it look like a jelly bean auto-pod. has comfort/power/looks/handling. I remember being in a 74ish toro when i was young and remember driving in Lansing through a snow storm with ease, while every one else was stuck or in a ditch. That car handled snow like no other. There are only 2 cars in my book that i rather have over this and they both have 16 cylinders ones a caddy and the other a Duesenberg. the rest hold no significance. I see no point in owning a Camaro when i could cherish one these. i don't care if people don't know what it is at a car show, then you can bring up its rich past. everyone walks past the Camaros, Mustangs, and Chargers. People always stare at the odd balls.
  14. for a second there i thought it said. "I'm Black" all race aside, GET THAT BLAZER TOGETHER AND GO DRIVE!!
  15. I want to cry everytime i see this car i would sell my G/F for this car (don't tell her that). When the time is right i will get one hopefully.
  16. LEGALIZE IT!!!!
  17. Well today was the Bearing Burner Associations annual car show and it was at the GM Tech Center. $10 per Car to enter. massive swap meet used car section and car show. i forgot a camera, so I'm sorry guys. well what really caught my eye was GM had a Ride and Drive booth set up with a couple of warren cops that i knew. went to go talk to them. Well they had a bunch of GM cars. Silverado LTZ, Equinox sport, Silverado HD Durmax, HHR LT, HHR SS, Malibu LTZ, Tahoe hybrid, Trailblazer SS, and Impala SS. Well i sign up why the hell not, right? I took the breathalzer from warren PD. And first take out the HHR LT. go around a roundabout and theres about a 1/2 mile straight and she says give it all she has. have the thing pinned then brake for a sharp left to go to a curvy little road then around this building (which is Powertrain) then over a bunch or rubber chunks to simulate potholes. Then back to the starting lot. It was a pretty nice car. then i go into the HHR SS and its a stick. Damn I had fun power shifting the thing to 70 then around the curves. I like it but i felt it could be a little better. then the Malibu LTZ was next i think thats my next car it had the red leather and trim. it was really quick i was surprised. the ride was superb and it handled excellent. next the Trailblazer SS. comfort was amazing. ride awesome. power for some reason it didn't feel that powerful. Impala SS was next, i love the car but it suffers from the 4 speed. it really kills it. very jerky and rough shifts, but quick. Last one i drove was the Silverado HD. it only had 135 miles. It was awesome though. nice ride and comfort was amazing compared to my sierra. When waiting for a particular car you could hear people talking about going to a dealership this week and buying one. i never had a person from a dealership in the car im testing say come on is that all you got? go faster! brake harder! Dear GM, This Ride and Drive program works! spend more money on it and let people beat up your cars at a mall parking lot or something. I want to go tomorrow and buy a Malibu LTZ. This is revolutionary marketing you guys can bank on. The people working with it were excellent too! they answered every question and weren't pushy at all. They even made fun of you when you let off the gas. I want to go to a ride and drive again, Especially before I'm going to buy a car. It was an amazing experience!
  18. Come on I have done 1100 mph and broke the speed of sound.... So what if i was in the bomber seat of a F/A - 18 B in a car i dont really remember but i did take a friends vette up to 150.
