  1. its drivable and i am driving it right now. I still am searching junkyards for a couple of parts Under the hood is fine nothing touched all though the trans fluid feels a tad gritty and maybe a little burnt. Also they managed to destroy a Royal Purple oil change in 1250 miles i got the car back with 1k more on it so they drove the $h! out of it. back tires are really bald. The only thing i really need is a 87-90 steering column and wheel and i will be fine. horn, brights, cruise, and the front left turn signals dont work but hopefully this weekend i can knock it all out.
  2. Sexy... I want... until now i finally understand why they had 2 tone grills in some of the GTO's i think in 04? was it. But 68 i think this video will help you understand what Moltar was saying. I encourage everyone to watch it i love it to death!!!
  3. lay off the drugs...
  4. i still write 2007 on checks...
  5. http://youtube.com/watch?v=aX3L9IinnqQ amazingly 9 seconds and geo can be used in the same sentence
  6. brand name is really key in quality. I have a Westinghouse and its utter rubbish. My Sharp Aquas is the most amazing thing i have ever seen. If he can spare the extra 1 foot depth the clear winner is Texas Instruments DLP TV's They are way better for cost effectiveness to picture ratio. The Sharp is a 32 and put me back 1600 though but it is amazing. the white Westinghouse is a 27 i think and it put me back 490. my 42 inch toshiba DLP only cost 750. the picture isnt as crisp as the sharp but damn it is amazing for half the price. I say convince him to go with DLP. one thing with dlp you dont have to worry abut dead pixels. Samsung has some good panels but they do get panels from Chimei (sp) and those bring the the quality down a lot. compared to Samsungs own panels Toshiba and LG i think share panels if im not mistaken. Sony is just overpriced. As alwys though read reviews and stare at the tv for about 20 minutes each at the store.
  7. Well i guess its safe to tell you guys now but i found it in a weird place. well a co worker found it and brought it to my attention and after harassing the police about it everyday even set up the meting it was recovered. http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/636616091.html
  8. she can drive. Im going to need a new driver side rear door. Tires. NEW INTERIOR ALL.... the inside is destroyed by my standards its got a gay little ricer steering wheel and column. Im thinking Monte Carlo Swivel bucket seats.. They smoked some pot in it so im going to need like 20 pine trees. But its back and still drivable so I'm really happy but really hurt at the same time.
  9. She rests peacefully in the back yard and 2 people are in jail.
  10. I have a phone number of who has it and general location (BAD AREA OF DETROIT)of where its at from what i can tell its mostly intact changed vin missing dash or black dash and black steering column and wheel. no license plate different wheels. Lets hope i don't scare them away and i hope to god i can get some police help. I have the Macomb county task force helping me so i think it should be successful but theres always a chance it will get away, But I'm stressing this to a lot of people a car is not worth someones health or life. These are professionals so it could end a small theft ring hopefully we catch them. Okay, this is where i need your help. Where are all locations of the VIN on a Caprice? as I will need this to prove it is mine. The plan to trap them should go in place on Monday or Tuesday i will keep you posted. I hope this goes through because the cobalt was rather disappointing on the test drive comparison.
  11. damn I'm stuck in Port Huron till Saturday. I really appreciate the effort. Thanks a lot Dave!
  12. I have only driven the edge and i really was impressed. It passed nicely and handled the road well. The braking is excellent but touchy. Driver comfort is a lot better than backseat comfort but overall it was a really nice crossover.
  13. I have a couple smokes now and then mostly because it relives stress. I never smoke inside my cars or house in public places, Mostly outside next my favorite tree or by lakes and such.
  14. it seems that way because in the north east its still cold outside so we huddle around our computer for warmth.
  15. damn i wont have time to go out there anytime soon. Well if you want to look the driver side back door will have a $h!ty bondo job looks like it was hit and the passenger side mirror is folded in a little. and theres a rust hole on the front passenger side fender. And a Merrolis Chevy sticker on the back bumper and i know for sure it was mine. I will try to get out there tomorrow hopefully i can. take a extended lunch. Thanks a lot Dave. Besides i went to the dealer and so far no good on any of those cars. I only tested the Silverado and i will test the rest on Thursday i think.
  16. With all the drive train in the front you can make it longer and not worry about a perfectly balanced drive shaft. Also a Flat floor so no trans tunnel. I think it was brilliant at a engineering approach.
  17. I rock this beast from the past. as a side note my computer now runs this bench mark in 21 seconds.
  18. Wagons are very useful. I remember going up north in the back of a Vista Cruiser when i was young. Came close to buying a Buick Roadmaster wagon years ago.
  19. i guess thats what the 5 year/100,000 is for. Its getting bad, I'm finally glad they are fixing I-75. Whats scary is when i went up north the Zilwaukee bridge Northbound was all closed off. They are replacing the bearings on the bridge. Whats scary is that bridge collapsed when it was being built and 3 company's went bankrupt. I really wonder about that bridge. But the more i look at the Aveo the more i want it. And i really cant wait for 09' models within the next 2 weeks i think i will be getting a car.
  20. I think I'm done with Caprice's for now. Although there tempting. WMJ I hate you... I want that Toronado so baddddddd...... I just don't have time to give it the loving it needs. In about 5-6 years maybe i will have space. I've already set a savings goal for 10k so i can get one without rust and a clean interior so its a easier project.
  21. Basically i want a commuter and good on gas. The Aveo reminds me a lot of my 88 Chevy sprint and looks fun to drive in the city. I love the sportiness of the cobalt though. The Colorado is nice because of the raised ride height and ability to throw stuff in the back if needed. And i can take it up north and keep miles off the Sierra. The Silverado is in the picture just because of the value i mean 12 k for a brand new truck. and its a lot of truck. I do like that all of them except the Silverado have A/C. I plan on either 4-5 years from now trading it in or leaving it in a garage in Alaska so i have a car up there. It will be a filler car. I putting 2k down and it sounds like 0% financing so max I'm looking at is about 150 car payment. The Aveo comes out to be $95 a month. I'm staying away from used. Options don't mean that much to me for a daily beater. I want to give GM a sale and i like to be the first one to break a car in. If i have time tomorrow i will go test driving. Please keep your comments coming.
  22. Well I most likely will be buying new and all stripper models no options at all. First 08 Cobalt Coupe 2.2 5spd price 11,000 DARK BLUE Second 08 Aveo 4 door 1.6 5spd price 8,000 Color either red or black Third 08 Colorado 2.9 5sp regular cab short box price 11,500 Color ? Fourth 08 Silverado WT 4.3 reg cab reg box price 12,500 color dark blue or white Can you guys give me some pros and cons or reviews. What one would you pick. I'm getting my Dads GM discount so that helps a lot. Insurance is highest on the Cobalt and cheapest on the Colorado So hard to choose.
  23. overall though how do you like it?
