I find metallic brown to be an attractive color. Brown used to be popular in the '70's and '80's, especially on station wagons, with or without the woodie cladding. Brown Cadillacs were not uncommon. It's nice to see brown's comeback.

Sorry about the wreck. Dealing with insurance companies are a pain in the butt. I hope your pains go away soon. It would probably be better for the car to be totaled because it will never be the same.

I also really liked the MAXX, at least in concept. I had considered getting one also, but I could not get over the awful electric power steering and wallowy handling. The interior was not to par and should have been much better. Actually, the entire car should have been much better. The Malibu was really a lost opportunity in winning over import buyers. The SS model addressed many of the issues later, but by then it was too late.

Use your gut feeling.

Congrats on the car. The HHR might just be my favorite GM vehicle. It has no serious flaws. The gauges could be a bit bigger, and GM electric power steering makes me nervous, but other than these things, it has a great combination of utility, power, and value.

The tickets will not be held up in court. The California Vehicle Code authorizes enforcement cameras only for running red lights.

Around 20 years ago, back when the Cold War was ending and the U.S. government was cutting back on defense, there were a lot of job cuts in the aerospace industry. The L.A. economy took a hit because of this.

This topic was discussed on C&G a few months ago--I think it was FlyBrian who brought it up. You can set half the parking lights on so that if you're on some dark country road, the lights near traffic can be left on.

This car was outdated the day they introduced it. And the rear visibility in the coupe is so bad this car is almost dangerous to drive.
