  2. I like quiet engines. Honda has the best, smoothest small engines around, with a good sound when they rev. However, the Prelude's engine is not as smooth as my previous Integras. I don't care for the loud rumble of the Silverado. As for my IS300, it's quiet at low rpms and grows loudly when revved hard. While smooth, the amount of power is sadly not commensurate to the increased decibels.
  3. Honda has some of the most refined vehicles in their classes. It's amazing how well the current 5-year old Accord still stands up to newer vehicles. I'd wait until the fall before getting too set on anything. Nothing in GM's current stable of mid-size cars excites me. The new Malibu has potential, but we're all used to sky high expectations not being met.
  4. A new vehicle every three years, though I tend to keep adding to the fleet rather than selling anything off.

  7. a black Continental GT, a new black Tundra also something called a Nissan Platina on I-5 headed towards the Grapevine. I think it wandered up from Mexico, and it looked like this:

  10. I'm obviously partial to the Gen2 Auroras. I still look at them on eBay, such as these beauties: Final 500 Aurora 2002 Aurora I wouldn't get another car with a Northstar because of its complexity and cost of repairs, though you've seem to come to accept it. I also think highly of the Regal GS as a daily driver. It's a sleeper. The Riviera is a classic, though undoubtedly more expensive to live with.

  14. In California, dealers tend not to put any tacky permanent chrome badging on cars and instead rely on the license plate frames. I kept the one on the Lexus because it's decent looking. The Silverado strangely didn't come with a dealer frame.

  17. Buick deserves some credit for continuous improvement of its cars and bringing back a performance line. I think the loss of the T-Types in the late '80's help foster the old-fogey image of Buick. It's unfortunate that execution of these cars isn't as good as they could be, but it's a step in the right direction.
  18. What's with the oversize grilles these days? And there's too much chrome in front. The silver trim in the interior looks cheap.

  20. The oversized H is odd, but the car looks classy, with Lexus overtures.
  21. I immediately thought of DTS/Deville, but the question seems to imply an airbag that is exclusively for the center passenger as opposed to a large one that is shared with the front passenger.
