  3. Lucky bastard. The only part of the passenger compartment that is not obliterated is the driver's seat. He hit the tree just right.

  5. Greensleeves Syphilis Heights--good one, I hadn't heard that before.

  7. I'm surprised that even 2000 people are buying the RD-X a month. The TL has not aged well, and this year's cosmetic updates do not help. Even with the new Type S model, which I assume fixed the overboosted steering and wallowy handling, and the positive reviews, it suffered a pretty big drop. There are just so many more desirable cars out there. With the redesign, the MD-X really should be doing better, but again, there are better alternatives in the marketplace.

  9. The end of the line of the RSX is hurting Acura's car volumes. A coupe based off the new Accord would help.
  10. Congrats on the car.

  13. Before even considering the rebates and GM Card discount, you should be able to negotiate a price at or slightly below invoice. The dealer will be getting some additional holdback that equals a few hundred dollars. Your tax and license will be based upon this negotiated price, and then the rebate and GM Card earnings are subtracted. In other words, you are paying tax and license on the rebated amount.

  17. There isn't an original line on the car, but it's a much more cohesive design than the new Elantra.

  21. The Isuzu Oasis was sold aside the redesigned Odyssey for a year for MY 1999. Acura shortly thereafter introduced the MDX and no longer needed the Isuzu-sourced SLX, hence termination of the rebadges.
  22. Hmm. Interesting. It has a face only a mother can love.

  24. Yes. When the GMT800's were introduced, the four-wheel disc brakes were played up in the advertisements. GM went with drums beginning in '05 because of excessive wear in the rear discs. The GMT900's continue with rear drums in the light duty trucks. The Tundra, by the way, has four-wheel disc brakes.
  25. It's not as striking as the Quattroporte. The front has a Honda S2000 look about it.
