  1. You can tell it was very rushed. They probably had a bigger unveil in mind, but pushed it forward (minimizing the glitz).
  2. OK..I clapped!
  3. OMG its starting!!11
  4. Should we use this as the live feed comment thread than? Im watching with MUCH interest, 2 minutes to go!!!
  5. Great car. Good engine. Good milage. Good price. Bad color. Probably bad fade from the bra. I wouldn't. Now, if it was a '94 in red....
  6. Looks bad-ass. And thats not a concept Camaro, thats the production car we saw pics of recently on set.
  7. Works very well as far as I can tell. I have used it to "smooth out" bad spark plugs in my moms 95 Lumina (before they were replaced). The Luminas 3100 runs ultra smooth right now (about 3 treatments of the cleaner in the last year). My car was running good when I got it, but now, after my second cleaner treatment, its getting very silky and quiet. Its probably best to do it before an oil change (someone will probably point that out if I don't).
  8. Nope. Achieva shifts smooth through all gears.
  9. Check out this interview with Rick on CNBC! http://www.cnbc.com//id/25685707 It has a sneak peek of the Cruze! :AH-HA_wink:
  10. Part 2 of todays fun has begun. Listen live at: http://www.gm.com/corporate/investor_information/cal_events/ (select GM Actions to Align Business with Current Market Conditions) Its supposed to be an hour and a half... If you missed the 9am, listen to this one. The question period should be very good!
  11. Im not sure.
  12. Bob Lutz mentioned that the Cruze will have a 9mpg advantage over Cobalt, and that the Cobalt XFE is already on par or better than a simular import compact in terms of milage. He also later said that the Cruze should be more profitable over the Cobalt in the same way the new Malibu is over the old one. The Equinox was mentioned briefly. It was said that it will have best in class fuel efficiency, and all GM products will strive for that goal. The question on HUMMER and the future of the brands was slightly sidesteped. Bob said that all the brands have a strong future, and each will be more focused. There will be less overlap. Some notes: Future product launches will be handled in a way simular to the Malibu, CTS and Vibe. GM may be considering altering their funding (advertising budget and otherwise) for motorsports. Many smaller and more alternative propultion vehicle programs have been pulled forward, with new ones added. Cadillac has a ton of new product, some of which has been slightly altered to better reflect the markets. Lutz hinted at a euro influence.
  13. watching the live video feed from CNN http://www.cnn.com/video/live/live.html?stream=stream1 veeery intersting stuff I wish Bob would speak a bit more.
  14. Rick is stuttering and very nervous sounding. Talk about "hot seat"

  17. Im still crunching the numbers, and adjusting my driving style (read: trying to make my foot unleaded). On a recent trip to Niagara Falls for Canada Day, I had a combined 23 MPG, but it was skewed due to heavy traffic comming back (half an hour of 2 KPH ). Currently, the Achieva is getting around 22.5 MPG (80% city). Im on a second bootle of Penzoil Fuel System cleaner, and the 3100 is getting silky smooth.
  18. Lets compare...
  19. Yeah...I feel dumb now. I wiki'd it after I posted, and knew you would correct me. I also noticed (after the fact) that you broke the news about it being the Cruze in the other thread.
  20. Maybe I didn't get the memo, but who first reported this name? Is it official? My first thought was of the rebadged Suzuki Ignis. I voted: Doesn't bother me. Cavalier, Cobalt, Cruze...it doesn't matter as long as the car is good. If they plan on having the Cobalt and this sold at the same time, than it can't be called Cobalt too. Unless the current car becomes Cobalt Classic....which would be dumb. Maybe GM is on...cruze control! Ahahaaa
  21. Gotta get me that Camaro!
  22. Looks familiar...
  23. Its cool to have a birthday with such esteemed company! Happy Birthday all around! Drinkin' a Heineken...
  24. Happy Canada Day! And yes, the beaver is a proud and noble creature! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULde0jH8V9k :AH-HA_wink:
  25. Historic division yes, but one that has been diluted for a long time. Take any '90s Chevy, swap the grille and badging, and presto: GMC. Its only very recently that some effort has been made to make GMC more visually unique (GMT900 Sierra) and give it new product (Acadia). Oldsmobile had a whole lineup of unique (except Silhouette), up-to-date cars. The (GMT360) Bravada and second gen Aurora were brand spanking new when the axe fell.
