  1. Mag tests of the Camry Hybrid have substantiated the claim, I believe. They did not on the Prius.

    ....

The front end and sides look mysteriously Camry-like but that may just be the camo. I am not a fan of the grille. I understand what you guys are saying about the four round taillights but I also think they look like the Lucerne's with camo. The rear definately looks Buick, especially with the badge. Overall, it looks way better than the current Malibu but like someone else mentioned, that's not saying much. I am excited to see the real deal.
  3. How Mitsu got in its current position.
  4. You're telling me.
  5. Rap nowadays is now akin to pop music in the late 1990's. 50 Cent is the rap version of Britney Spears with all of his clothing lines and drinks and bad lyrics (even though I am a fan of Britney). I've never noticed it but thanks for the heads up. What else did you see at Warped?
  6. I think Mitsu realizes they need to put up or shut up and that's one of the reasons why the new Outlander is packed with features.
  7. I think I pissed my pants. You are one funny guy. My sister has a couple emo friends, including one who is really hot, and she tries to act like she is in that whole scene...going to shows, wearing band shirts, etc. Nothing too bad, I guess. I just sit back and laugh. I do not understand the whole wearing girls pants and kissing guys, though, but saying you're straight. How about curious? No guy should be in girls pants, though.
  8. What...
  9. Considering the Land Cruiser is may be dropped soon (in the U.S., at least), and a new LX is on the way along with a new RX, that will not be a problem anymore.
  10. Ven, why do those smaller companies have a hard time even matching a single GM midsize variant in sales? I'm not being a smart ass but just think about it for a second. If Toyota or Honda had five midsize cars instead of one they would be in the same boat. More money to spend on platform/badge engineering and advertising, less money to invest in the next-gen, sales in a tailspin. Edit: spelling.
  11. Damn straight. Chevynovs99, Fox News stands for Fox News Channel, a much better CNN.
  12. I am positive that if GM and Ford wanted to open a brand new plant somewhere in this country states, counties and towns would be offering them the same damn tax breaks. I do not advocate any tax breaks for businesses but once one place offers them everyone else will, too. Those tax breaks are also needed because Toyota and Nissan could turn around and build them outside the U.S., too. And no, I am not talking about walking back to Japan.
  13. The Impala is greatly improved over the past-gen but I do not think that was supposed to be the article's topic, or at least the main topic. GM has been focusing too much on SUVs and trucks since last decade and its cars show it. Toyota is starting to do the exact same thing but on a much smaller scale. Its cars also sell well and make money so it can get away with it from a business standpoint. Even though I hate the NYT, I think this article hit the target.
  14. Damn, Enzora. Amazing.
  15. Amazing post. Sean Paul...ugh. Listening to him is torture. He should definately be played at Guantanamo.
  16. How did I know something like this was going to be posted. Neither the NYT or LAT are the Bible, you know.
  17. I have seen zilch in the way of advertising for the new Accent. No one knows anything about it.
  18. Verona sales...ouch. Maybe with the cash being generated from the Grand Vitara and future XL-7 and SX4, Suzuki can revamp their midsize car.
  19. I saw this on Fox News a few minutes ago. I wonder if it just affects the 2006 Altimas since they have been, I am fairly sure, virtually unchanged for the past few years.
  20. Learn to stop being an asshole, will you? Judging by the fact GM now needs to offer $1.99 gas for the GMT900s after they have been on sale for, what, 2 months, it seems to me GM understands demand for those vehicles is not as high as they were in the 1990's. That is partially how GM ended up in its current position, putting all of its eggs in one basket. Sure it worked in the past but look at the present. Times have changed and until people either a) get totally used to and accept having to pay more for gas, b) gas prices go down, or c) people rekindle their love for big trucks in the years ahead after they have moved back to cars, GM will have an even worse time clawing back out of its hole. People will always want or need a big truck/SUV. Sometimes many people will want them and sometimes only a handful of people need them. That's the difference. GM should manage how it does business better and balance out the car and truck equation to 50/50 (or damn close to it) and build the cars just as well as the trucks. That way GM is in a much better position to react to the market due to circumstances largely out of its control.

Looks like it has Yukon headlights. Somewhat disappointing, I guess, but should have I expected anything more masculine? Then again, the Yukon has grown on me a little bit.
  22. How is that a rediculous comment? The number of people who want a fuel efficient car has gone up tenfold since the 1990's, that's common sense. People purchased SUVs just to say they had one...the biggest one, the one with the most horsepower, most cupholders, etc. They did not have a real reason (boat, trailer, moving company, etc.) to buy it. With gas prices at $3.00 a gallon and rising and falling by the week, most see how stupid they were and realize they are fine buying a midsize I4 and using the rental Home Depot trucks once a year. Toyota only has, what, 5 econoboxes? Out of how many cars? Talk about a rediculous comment.
  23. Still nothing at 20,000 miles.
  24. There's not much info on my xB but apparently the bB (in Japan, all of you probably know) features a bench seat.
