  1. I looked but I have to be missing something. Ted has three Lambda projects in red, which means cancelled (says the key). The only other Lambda project I saw that was not in red was a Chevy Lambda minivan. Winky-wink?
  2. How are there too many import brands? There are only 2 mainstream U.S. brands, GM and Ford. Why? Because it takes a $h! load of money and power to start up a car company in the U.S. People want cars and not everyone wants to drive the same thing.
  3. Again, you're making my point.
  4. I am going to take the term "puppy dog eyes" and say his eyes are brown. If so, you have to forgive. I used to be into blue eyes but brown eyes...damn. They are for keeps. Anywho, you may have overreacted a little bit but you were/are right to be mad. You should find out whether he told the other guys in the group that you "agreed" to change restaurants and that's why they went with him. If he did, that's an even bigger problem.
  5. I'm all for common sense enviro things (like mandatory solar cells on all new home construction, turning off the tap when brushing your teeth, etc.) The crazy enviros completely turn people off to simple things to help the environment. Are you going to see Al "Sore Loser" Gore's documentary?
  6. Too Outlook-y for me and definately not GMC material. I hope all of the exterior black plastic is body-colored, too, by the launch comes around.
  7. Body on frame. Like Trailblazer, Envoy, Explorer, 4Runner...traditional SUVs.
  8. Alrighty, then... The point is do not complain when enviros, the media or other people make remarks about American auto manufacturers having so many trucks. They do have more and they rely on them much more than foreign automakers to make the companies money. On the other hand, the media and enviros couldn't care less about the car/truck mixture 20 years ago. They just report and comment on what's happening now.
  9. The new edition of Motor Trend says a Chevy Lambda will be rushed to market due to sliding BOF SUV sales. Apparently, it will pretty much be a discontented Outlook with Chevy-specific front and rear facias. They showed a rendering and it reminds me of the Cobalt/G5 disaster. Can anyone confirm this?
  10. I'm really sorry, Franky. I am usually hard on people, especially when they cross me or do something behind my back, so if I were you I would dump her. I'd make her cry, too (no, not by beating her but with words), but you seem like too nice of a guy to do something like that. I'd also seek revenge. Embarrassment is great. You will be better off with someone who's true, though. You need someone who will treat you like a king. Someone liked me. LOL, j/k.
  11. To use the GTO as an example for future Pontiac RWD sales is unfair because it was done on the quick and cheap, not to mention it applied to only one market. Bold design, great performance, solid materials, average prices and a good dealer experience are needed. I doubt Pontiac will ever again see 600,000+ sales due to brand loyalties and a very competitive and crowded marketplace, no matter what wheels are in charge.

  13. It's not just all about volume, rather quality. A great RWD may not sell in the numbers that an average FWD car would, let alone a great FWD car, but a great RWD car would surely make more money (less incentives) and lead to positive brand recognition. Pontiac can have a crossover but make sure it is sporty. If Pontiac HAS to have a FWD car for volume, make it AWD. Buick should have a mix of FWD and RWD cars. Caddy handles the luxury RWD market.
  14. The current Sequoia was bench marked against the previous Expedition and Tahoe and neither had great interiors. It was not hard to beat them in interior comfort or build quality. Obviously, the current Tahoe is miles ahead of the Sequoia in all areas.
  15. Poor journalism is an understatement. This is more than rediculous. BTW, just to get under everyone's skin, one article does not prove the media bias theory.
  16. It's obvious you don't grasp the point.
  17. The Fray. Their album is pretty good.
  18. The SS looks boring, the body kit way too ricey. The LWB looks nice but the proportions seem odd. Honestly, the wheel arches are the only things that stand out.
  19. I hope this is not the next-gen CR-V. Japanese car mags are known for putting out these outrageously nasty renditions.
  20. You are forgetting the RAV4 and LX470 on the SUV list. The truck list contains the Tacoma and Tundra. Meanwhile, GM has the 'Nox, Trailblazer, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Colorado, Silverado, Express, Envoy, Yukon, Yukon XL, Canyon, Sierra, Savana, Torrent, VUE, 9-7X, Rainer, Rendezvous, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT and SRX. 11 to 23 based on my count. Yep, that cow is milked dry.
  21. Yes and no. It's a nice middle-class suburb of Philadelphia with low crime, good schools and, for the most part, friendly people. I would definately love to have my kids grow up here and attend the same schools I did. We get all four seasons and everything is close by, shopping and doctors, etc. On the downside, a few minutes away are the more lower class areas of the county and Trenton, New Jersey (right across the Delaware River), which is a crime and gang infested city and no one does anything about it. Now the gangs are starting to recruit and act out in my area, normally the lower class areas. People from New Jersey also attend the schools illegally since they are a lot better than what is found over there by Trenton. There is also a lot of traffic and basic suburban sprawl. I got back from visiting my aunt and uncle in Florida who retired by Orlando. They live in an over 55 community. So quiet and peaceful, low crime, etc. but it's not totally built up yet so you have to drive far distances to go food shopping, etc. Way too hot for me, also.
  22. Rascal Flatts. I have been getting into country music for a little bit now. On my overall list is Journey, Savage Garden...I guess that's it. I'm more of a single singer kind of guy, I guess.
  23. Some attitudes are really tiring. Anyway, good luck, Josh.

    ....

Thanks, GMan. Now that I could live with. Perhaps the current-gen Malibu designs were fired? Just to confirm, are we sure this is not on the "LWB" Epsilon platform like the G6? By looking at the sides in the picture, I can imagine the G6 front window dip and it just looks longish.
  25. Toyota and Honda seem to have been getting by all these years with their "thin margin small cars" and just a fraction of the trucks and SUVs GM has.
