Don't forget about the high speed train from Disneyland to Las Vegas! Also, CA is going to be building HS Rail (or at least we are going to spend money on it as we passed a bond) The only problem is UP is bitching about money for a right of way, especially considering that all of their grade crossings are pretty much going to disappear because of HS Rail which will make their shipping times reduce dramatically.

Amtrak need to use the concept of Amtrak California (Which is run y California Department of Transportation or CalTrans) where there are buses that connect to the trains and it basically triples the service area. Amtrak California is home to the 3rd and 5th busiest routes that Amtrak has.
