  1. So let me go a step further. We are becoming a Matrix world. And we need Capitalism 2.0 and Democracy 2.0 otherwise keeping status quo will just churn the middle class people.

    Pictures!

Okay I am going to give you one under the belt. Is that your daughter?
  3. Those plants have been so much grandfathered that the subsidies might not have existed then.
  4. For such a price delta Cadillac ESV. I do not know the towing difference between the two. But if the amount of material you are hauling lies in the ESV's towing range, it should suffice you. It has more power, more comfort ammenities, more presence than the Suburban. Also, the suspensions on the ESV are tuned for a better ride. Plus, it can do mud wrestling as the Chevy sibling without feeling hurt. For that price I think it is a steal.
  5. a) Fairly acceptable. It could be a little bit simpler with less buttons. b) 26-30K would be a good figure to shoot at. c) See above. d) Like olds and paoli said S40, TSX and lower end Audis - this could be a good segment since BMW 3er, C class have left and gone a step above. 90% performance at about 75% price. e) Technically Regal should compete with both high optioned mid sizers, and the entry level premiums. Focused such way it sits on the fence of either side. f) It would not, I can afford it. g) Chevy Lumina, Honda TSX, Ford F150.
  6. This article does not add up the subsidies in term of present value of $$, in which case the subsidies would be much higher. Everybody knows value of $27 million 28 years ago is not the same as $27 million today. The sum total of the subsidies is about 3.6 billion in terms of dollar figure. At 10% rate of return this figure is more close to 12.1 billion dollars.

    2010 Lexus RX

True that but the underpinnings were not thoroughly overhauled that is what I meant.
  8. Not in USA. It is standard only on 2LT and SS (which comes with TC standard too), if I remember correctly.

    2010 Lexus RX

Both Highlander and RX are based on the modified Camry Platform which went through a thorough overhaul in 1994-5.
  10. This would make a good project truck. Pickup Another Chevrolet Chevy Too pricey, but a beaut 62 Impala SS

    2010 Lexus RX

Umm what has changed on the outside? The RX platform is basically unchanged for three generations. That is getting close to the W body class. Yes it is being "updated" but so did the W bodies.

  13. M5 in Indianapolis Red Metallic - Sex.
  14. I would like to see a demonstration of 3 and 5.
  15. Imagine it was his own son.
  16. That Nova is in a good shape too. I think he is asking too much though.
  17. Here is another vehicle. Do you think the price is high? Linkity
  18. I may pull up the money out in cash, but I do not know if I want to at this point, this where the debate is. I owned a 2002 for six months, and I think those 405 horses are more than enough. Add to that the reliability as a rock of 5th generation Y's. I regularly got 32-33 mpg on highway cruising at 70mph. I want that 50th anniversary badge (badge snob).
  19. I have been lusting over this one, for a while. They brought down the price by about 20% since over two months. I just feel like going down and making them an offer. Linkity You know Chris my lust for that particular vehicle .
  20. I do not want it to go the commercial way. That does bring revenue but also brings onus and greater restrictions. The four things I will certainly concentrate on: 1. Increasing the depth and breadth of the news that have been lacking recent times after Fly and the guy who put monthly sales ticker left. Attrition and accrual of members are part and parcel of life. But filling those voids is very important, and that is where we have not kept the pace. Even the number of spy pics that Chris was posting went down. I understand it may be monetorial issue, but like I mentioned before, I may contribute some to give us some uniqueness and one-upmanship compared to other sites. 2. Curb more of those political thoughts. The months from August through November 4th lost much needed nerves. More than few nerves were vexed, and friends who were before have seen some tension ever since. 3. If moderators feel they are being taxed, please let others know and find viable ones. You guys do a tremendous job, but there is nothing wrong to accept and tell someone to take over even if it is for a while. 4. Renew some of our programs like chopping, sketching and those RWD mafia trivias. They might be difficult to maintain but they were tremendous fun. Thanks M
  21. Nor does SS. How much gas mileage does it give? :useless:
  22. Do you as a dealer think that the number of dealerships that GM has are in exceess to what they actually need? If yes, what would be the best way to attack such scenario. If no, what makes you believe that way?
  23. Double is an understatement. They would have been able to make volume and profit at the under 20K price tag which the solstice started with and has now increased by 20%.
  24. Z-06

    Now what?

Good one ellives. The most important part of your argument is reactionary vs. pro-actionary mindset GM is in and some of the members here are. This is trhe precise mentality which has gripped the current crisis, and it will only worsen if the mentality prevails. People need to think outside the box. As much as many good intentions people here have, kill this-kill that will not help.
  25. The entire exercise may look like Bush trying to create a difference before he leaves. He will look like the savior if he lends money from TARP before the year end.
