  1. Deds, 1. The concept of small cars in USA is different than across the Atlantic Ocean. In Europe, only size is the difference between a smaller car and larger car. Otherwise people expect and pay for the same utilities and amenities found in a larger car. In US, small cars are cheap and basic transportations. Although the thoughts and people's buying habits are changing, we are still a long way to go to adapt to small, "luxurious" cars as you are referring to and that is the reason why Peugeot and Citroen will not be able to make a case of selling their small vehicles here. If you look at the statistics, apart from Mini, no other small luxurious car is doing well here, not even an Audi A3. That is why MB abandoned A and B classes and BMW is taking a long to put the 1-series in market here. 2. Regarding the Chevy sucking in Europe, may be you should demand more from GM :AH-HA_wink: . Chevy is basically taking over where Daewoo left. Personally I do not like that idea, but GM execs see Chevy as an entry level brand and thus are pursuing its cars from Korea. I think they should sell the RWD Camaros and Impalas (when it becomes available) and even Malibus in small numbers in Europe. May be brutes like Silverado in limited quantities and diesel won't hurt. 3. The interiors of Renault, Peugeot and Citroen may be working and even efficient, but they are .
  2. Was it clarified thoroughly? :AH-HA_wink:
  3. Yes, but the origin of the name is French.

  5. Camino, Were there any Vettes for Sale?
  6. I think personally the closest I will get in buying a car with a French name is a Chevrolet. In my opinion French cars are not my cup of tea. They may be good, but I think they are emotionless and ugly. I do not know too much about Seat, so I cannot comment on it any. Italian cars, well other than Maserati, Lambo, and Ferrari, I do not think I like any other. Although there are some Alfas, I may be interested. Just like P-C-S, for me German Cars are the European cars I will buy, if GM did not exist.
  7. Only 47 (numbers at some websites vary from as low as 44 to as much as 48) known prototypes of the 1983 Corvettes were produced. So technically it is the Lowest Regular Production Chevy Model. In fact none of those were sold to the public and only one OFFICIALLY survives in the Bowling Green Corvette Museum. Here is one comment:
  8. Great work Mr Camino. Good pictures, Sir. Was the penultimate Camaro SS for Sale? If yes, how much was it?
  9. Booze
  10. The crapmunds responds to it by buying the vehicle off the dealer's lot and still bitching about it. I think the fair game here is that GM should counter attack by making its own ads of comparison. I really loved their concept of Autoshow in Motion. At those times GM had bunch of crap vehicles, but it was a hit. Now coming back with some beautiful, solid and yet enthusiastic vehicles, this show makes more sense as of now. When I went to the AS in Motion I was surprised to hear how people had wrong perceptions about XXX GM vehicle and how good it came out to be. In its first year many people used to stand in queue for the foreign brands. That queue had dramatically reduced in the second year. In fact one person was bitching about the line for the Chevy Silverado HD Duramax diesel. People's perceptions are easy to change. Except for hardcore enthusiasts, 90% of these sheeplings do not care what they drive. And there are not many hardcore enthusiasts for the rice brands. GM should make efforts to change perception, because at the end of the day, no matter how dumb these people are, they are GM's customers and Customer should be #1.
  11. Bob, I think it is tierods too. May be just one. I had the exact same problem with my 98 W-body Lumina. I first thought it was breaks wearing off. My tires were new and so had I aligned the wheels, and balanced the tires. It took Chevy dealer in Lafayette, IN, about $175 to fix it.
