Cadillac Renaissance: Miracle or Mirage?
I'm with Rich. I appreciate and laud everything the current STS is and represents, but give me an '03 STS anyday. Such a handsome car and very identifiable as a Cadillac despite the shocking lack of traditional heritage cues.

You're welcome. I figured you needed something to perhaps lift your spirits. Paul Wall has been used, btw, in lieu of finding a pic of you.

The Airflite is beautiful. Its balanced, too, unlike the 300, which is all grille and not much else.

- Choppin' Competition #21 - Chevrolet Lambda
Welcome to Choppin' Competition #21! Admist rumors that a Chevrolet Lambda-based CUV may be produced to accompany the Enclave, OUTLOOK, and Acadia, we're asking you to put your minds to work on this vehicle. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to design a Chevrolet CUV vehicle that - while still based on Lambda architecture - would be well-differentiated from its sister vehicles and carry distinctive Chevy styling cues. Front AND rear chops are encouraged. Size guideline remain at 800x600, so please size your entry accordingly. Here are some images of current Lambda vehicles to get you started. Enclave @ AutoDeadline OUTLOOK @ AutoDeadline The winner will recieve a GM-related prize! Deadline is Tuesday, June 13th @ 11:59PM your local time. Good luck!- Challenger Production Not Definite Yet
Some Imperials, a handful of concepts, highline Chryslers, the real 300 letter cars as well as taking some inspriation from Hudson and AMC (since Chrysler acquired them, I accept that they also acquired their histories). The muscle car thing just isn't that big of a deal to me, especially the big flaunty ones. Give me something dressed down, more subtle. Or better yet, give me a damn nice sedan or coupe that isn't old when it debuts. This is the same reason I have far more enthusiasm for every Zeta except the Camaro. We knew what the Camaro would look like even before the concept rolled out. I have no idea what Buick's fullsizer or Pontiac's GTO replacement will look like, which adds to the anticipation and excitement.- Challenger Production Not Definite Yet
In all honesty, there are about a dozen or more Chrysler products I would have emulated before the Challenger.- Let's See Those Engine Bays!

Well, our task for the day involved changing the brake pads on my father's Bonneville and while we were at it, we decided to paint the calipers red a la GXP cars. So...how's it look?- Lutz's perfect summation of Toyota

Accord Hybrid doesn't lose as much. You're referring to trunk depth as if its a bad thing. When is the last time you put something short and wide in your trunk as opposed to something more narrow and long? You can't even do that in an Avalon with adjustable rear seats because that feature eliminates the split-folding feature. Man, you're actually justifying that car with an ass as large as Rosie O'Donnell's having that pathetic trunk space (with goosenecks even!) as being more 'usable'? I'm done with this.- Lexus goes after BMW's 3-series (IS350 Review)
Its not how they're mounted (I like door mirrors, too), but how frickin' large they are. Hello, RX300, I stole your leftover rearviews. And just for fun...- Lexus goes after BMW's 3-series (IS350 Review)
Those mirrors really, really look like $h! on a car that small.- VW Jetta TDI
Sucks even more that a "midsize" car like the Camry hybrid has all of 10.5 cuft and the "fullsize" Avalon has 14.3 cuft. What's the excuse for that?- Green Gap
In terms of economy and overall practicality, a 5-spd Cobalt/ION, Corolla, Civic, Focus, or TDI Golf/Jetta would be your wisest investment, especially when you buy a used one and drive your already-paid-off SUV less instead of trading it in on a hybrid. Doing that makes absolutely no sense. Also, you don't get those tax credits now i.e. at the time of purchase. For people actually affected by higher gas prices, the 'hit you back on the flip side' tax benefits likely don't carry that much weight. But for most people - get a tune up, combine trips, avoid excessive idling, and use air conditioning wisely.- I have not been sleeping well as of late...
Sell your Datsun and use the proceeds for the five gallons of gas you need to get this Olds.- To Bobo and Bimmer325
