Gay group: "Caliber" Ad is anything but cute
If you can't laugh at yourself, you shouldn't laugh at anyone. That said, what? Man, talk about making something out of nothing.

Credit Card companies are retarded
Does 'High Risk' mean a risk of exceeding your limit or a risk of an unauthorized purchase? I've had my debit/credit card inaccessible because it noticed me trying make an online payment of $350.00 three times (I had entered the amount and CC# three times, but it never went though correctly because I didn't enter the password right). I'm happy for it.

Two Caddy verts I saw today
Ever seen a '92-'02 Eldorado conversion? Beautiful.

CTS traction control vs stabilitrack?
Sounds like Oldsmobile's PCS, which was IIRC a dumbed-down Stabilitrak.

GM CEO Bob Lutz is a Blackberry Addict
I have one, thank you. Most cheap cellphones are more user-friendly. I'd prefer this Kyocera device I had for a few weeks prior because it had a stylus, touch screen, and adaptable keyboard.

The other zetas
I would only say we shouldn't have a Camaro, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, and Impala coupe. That's just dumb, especially if it comes at the cost of a Buick or Pontiac.

FLEET / RENTAL CARS...
Here's two shockers...sort of... I've seen two Optimas so far, both rentals. I've seen three '07 Camries so far. One was a rental. Already?!

NYIAS: GM Debuts new FWD 6-Speed Auto
This is true. Ask my father. His Bonnie can outrun my Olds in most situations thanks to the blower, but...I've a V8.

Edmunds Full Test, ES350
Agreed. I say this knowing my car his mirrors like that, but IMO it fits the style of the car. These don't. Also, why the massive mirrors, Lexus?

March 2006 Sales: General Motors
Heh. The 9-2x was nearly outsold by the Aztek. And, man, RELAY sales took a dump.

Dodge gives Durango a face-lift, preps for hybrid
Um. Its not the grille that needs changing. Its the massive underbite bumper.

Noticed something wierd
How the hell does the M3 get brought into a conversation about the 3800 series being simply good V6s? And what?

March 2006 Sales: Ford Motor Company
Man, did the Car Gods ever take a big dump on the Explorer.

Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
So can I if I start it up and sit in the parking lot with the a/c running at 60* for an hour, then drive around the block. In real-world situations, I question the credibility of that claim.

Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
Driven a Northstar car for an extended period of time to back that up?

Noticed something wierd
Its not a sucky engine by any means. 'Sucky' would imply the engine is just plain lousy. Look to Daewoo I4s for evidence. The fuel economy and emissions are still incredibly impressive for such an old dog, no doubt about it.

Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
No one mentioned cost-cutting, just lack of a redline. That isn't cost-cutting, that's just odd.

NEWSWEEK INTERVIEW: Rick Wagoner CEO of GM
I'm not locking this thread because it has a credible premise, but I will delete posts. I'm serious. Respect is needed from all sides.

GM to build a new plant in Mexico
Now convince everyone in the country to do that. They won't.

Playboy article
Well, I can speak for most in saying that they're not all over you, just the content of the article. The automatic transmission dealie is just plain wrong. Most of us see something like that, call it, and drop it. Some just like to keep on.

Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
Well, that's the thing. Speaking just of the quality of the review given, I call a flag on play. There is a difference between a solid car that needs improvement in some areas and a outright poor entry. The Lucerne is the former, but his review makes it out to be the latter. Again, the trunk hinge issue is negated by the fact that the Avalon has a similar setup and less volume to begin with, yet this isn't tendered. My car has a 4.0l derivation of the Northstar and its rated lower, at 16/25mpg and a few weeks ago when I had two misfiring plugs, I never averaged below 14, even with heavy idling and a/c use. This Lucerne figure gets more bogus everytime I read it. Also, the horsepower numbers are dead wrong and paint the impression that the Buick's V8 doesn't really outrun a V6 Avalon, it doesn't even outgun it at 5 less hp. Again, dead wrong. Its a very poor-quality review that should be removed immediately and revised for accuracy and balance if Edmunds considers itself a credible organization. I really don't think I'm out of line in saying so. And, yes, I would be saying so if it were another car in the gauntlet.

Sketch Competition #3 -GM 'People Mover'
Heh, uh, 11:59 local time (i.e. your time). That's how it'll be from now on since I forgot about the West Coast. Oh, and no one is from the Pitcarin Islands, so don't try that.

Best dealer ad...EVAR!
Shouldn't you starting another pointless thread about now?
-
BLS Cadillac
Yes. Right now Cadillac needs a $500,000 2-seater supercar. Alante? Is that a cheap Allante? And what? You're implying the Allante failed chiefly because it was FWD and not due to its bodies being fabricated in Italy and then flow to America for assembly? Not this again.

Best dealer ad...EVAR!
What's so funny? Its just a normal used car dealer's commercial...
