What car was hot
- Damn it, Volkswagen!
Depends on what sort of Jobs I find. Right now, It will be on the road by the end of this month. The rest has no specific time frame.- Damn it, Volkswagen!
Engineer might be pushing it. I like to think of it as logic... like taking apart a pen and putting it back together and managing not to break or lose anything.- Brother's New Ride.
It's a little rough in the cosmetics department. It also has rust all over the drivers door... and a little on the left rear fender. You will also noticed mismatched mirrors. He wants to put a "wing" on it. Because, you know...- Brother's New Ride.
I tried to find him his very own Volkswagen, but.... 2001 Alero, 2.4l, auto, 117k... $1300- Damn it, Volkswagen!
Once the almighty Golf is on the road, the Cobalt is being given away to Goodwill. They're expanding the building just for my little donation. Garage roof. It makes a great vantage point. I wish. I only have one of the Harlequin colors unfortunately, and that car is the wrecked one. Ooopsie. One? I have enough for two! If I had a bare shell that wasn't damaged, I could easily build it up alongside my Golf and have parts to spare afterwords. Out of my searching for parts, I've found that I tend to buy things I really don't need or I will simply buy something I do need, but end up getting the wrong one. There's also my ever changing mind. I tend to make an amendment to my plans halfway into executing them. To put everything into perspective, I've spent more money on parts I didn't need than I did for the car itself. The good news out of all this, however, is that I am just a few parts shy of getting the Golf on the road and it happens to be the only mechanical part; one that needs replaced because I busted it myself. The rest have been pure cosmetics and amenities. Once it's done and I have all my pictures sorted, I'll try to put it all together in a build thread of sorts. However, this is, in reality, only the beginning. Once it's on the road, and the Sunfire replaces the Cobalt, I do have further plans. I am eventually going to rebuild & tune the engine, redo all the suspension pieces; struts, control arms, bushings, etc., redo the brakes, more bodywork & eventual respray, and more than likely I'll switch more parts that I don't necessarily have planned at the moment. I do happen to have a parts wish list if I even get to that point. Here, have a tease:- Pictures!

I've turned into a parts collector it seems.- NYIAS 2010
Speaking of New York. I'm on the fence about whether I want to go up tomorrow or not.- How's the weather?
Sunny and in the 60's today. The last few days have been fairly $h!ty, though, with lots of rain. Better than snow, atleast.- Which CAR body style would you rather drive?
Each body style has its merits and I've lusted after many example of them all. Ideally, I'd have one to represent each. Variety is what I live for.- Lambs & Lions, Rams & Peugeots
New Hyundai Sonata. This car is going to to steal a $h!load of sales.- What does your Desktop look like?
After over a year... Probably more like 2... I've changed mine. My newest:- Magazines question
I have a box full of MT and C&D from the same era. I've taken an ad here and there. They're probably pretty easy to come by.- Wagon Love
- One arrives...
Insurance rates for the Cobalt are horrible.- Which do you like better?
I've fallen in love... However, I do like what Lincoln has to offer with the MKS. The main issue with it is that the Taurus undercuts it in price and has most, if not all, of the same luxuries. What I will say is that Lincoln's MKT took me off guard. I never liked it until I saw it in person via an indoor mall showroom. It's much tidier looking in the flesh.- Computer Questions.
How trustworthy is Passmark Benchmarks? They have a bunch of comparisons for CPUs, Graphics cards, hard drives, etc.- Computer Questions.
I was looking at This, specifically.- Computer Questions.
I wasn't really asking about those in order to upgrade mine... More or less for general building/buying purposes. I was looking at some of the available machines and figured I'd ask the worthiness of those two aspects.- Computer Questions.
Pictures tell the story. Opened up my case for the first time in a long while. It's dirrrrrrtay. Randomly, I've been looking around. What are your opinions on the Intel Core I5 750 2.66GHz processor? What about the ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics card?- card games
Cad (31) Variations and Explanation- Computer Questions.
So. I have a few specific questions. How salvageable is my processor? Is it possible to keep my existing case, optical drive, media reader, etc. and still upgrade my core components? What all could potentially be salvaged overall? Does anyone have any freebies?- card games
- North American Brands
I voted and just noticed the only brand associated with GM I picked is being sold off. Isn't that a shame. I'm becoming more and more a fan of Ford. Seems to be only American company that knows what it's doing. - Damn it, Volkswagen!
