I am sure they had quite the powerful blue fireball. Also, love that Era of Buick. Seeing these at car shows as a kid was one of the reasons I fell in love with cars in the first place.

And this is the rub...it would cost me 140 thousand dollars to buy a nicely equipped Benz like the one I posted up in the morning in the Dream Car Garage Ultimate Luxury edition. In real world terms, I can buy a perfectly fun car for 25 to 35 grand... Saving a hundred and ten grand per car ads up after awhile. But I do want to see FCA invest in domestic brand names. SMK is not incorrect in what he is saying. My 24 year old sons 23 year old Girlfriend wants a G wagon sooooo badly... Like Balthazar said, sometimes it is more about desirability. -

FCA playbook indeed...Sergio wants Alfa to grow! -
62 Hawk is one of my favorite cars. My father had a Buick like that, two door in blue. The car I came home from the hospital in. It never right a single day from new, Dad swore off GM products for fifteen years after that. Camino has been gone from these parts for three years or so...

Ohhh absolutely....Were I to be in the amrket, this powertrain in this vehicle....not normally a Durango fan, but I would personally rock this all day long! Fortunately, I agree with dfelt...used amrket! It almost seems as if the funky nature of the old dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler lives on in Jeep. I have a crab apple tree in my side yard that has a root graft...the original root stock shows its unhappiness by sending up suckers and trying to assert its rightful nature. The Ghost of the old (good) chryco is trying to assert itself through Jeep. -
So in this edition of dream car garage you have almost no rules other than... No passenger cars... No regular SUV's No regular trucks... Anything else on the planet that is self propelled and can travel across land using wheels or tracks (as in rails like a train or tracked vehicles like tanks and bulldozers) and carry a passenger or driver is eligible. In terms of Trucks...anything commercial or historical or out of the ordinary is allowed. Cabover truck like Balthazar's, Model A stake bed, Unimog, a fire truck, a Divco delivery truck, an armored personnel carrier, a military spec Humvee, a WWII era Jeep, wheeled amphibious landing craft...anything goes. Any trailer or combination is allowed also...and it does not have to be the air stream from the other thread I mentioned... Locomotives, motorcycles, and for that matter aircraft that take off and land on a runway using wheels are eligible also...as are motorized skateboards and motorized wheel chairs for that matter. The Queen Mary (can't travel across land) the little red wagon you pulled behind you in the first grade (not self propelled) an Exocet missile (cannot carry a passenger or driver) and a bicycle (not self propelled) are ineligible...virtually everything else is. Maximum of 5 choices, enjoy and good luck!

...and a new JCW MINI coupe not on the list because you all already know how much I love THAT car. Sorry for all of the vintage Rolls content, but I used to work at a cabinet shop next to a Rolls Royce restoration shop. I love vintage Rolls cars. Bonus Morgan content... -

tesla Musk Throws Fit, Tesla Model S Goes from Good to Acceptable!
A Horse With No Name replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
My daughter loves cars and just took a job as an automotive claims adjuster after graduating from college. Last night at dinner she had us in stiches about a certain Jaguar owner that had multiple claims from the same weekend, all owner initiated stupidity. Repairing these vehicles is very, very expensive at times. Which is why if I were going to get an SUV i would honest to god consider very strongly an Escalade-all much less expensive GM parts, easy and less expensive to repair, and will tow any fun toy or tool I want to pull behind it. As much as I love European cars...at some point repair costs have to enter into the calculus of ownership.- 5 replies

Because making a lighter weight and reliable engine for a limited low production car is not financially in the cards. Honda once competed in F1 and competed in Indy car racing...the technology is there...the cost warrant is not.

Also...if VW can take the MK 6 Jetta a car that usually sells for 20K, and make it much better in terms of crash test safety,...Musk and his team can do the same thing with a 100K S.- 5 replies

Agree completely, and people here will throw a fit if I bring home a BRZ to replace my MINI. That being said, a fox body Mustang really would be best as a heavily modified autocross or track car. I had one of the Fox body Mustangs back in the day...Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble would pass on it given its primitive construction and the crash test safety of a Balsa Wood model airplane. But a Fox body Mustang would be amazing to own.. Also could see it as a weekend cruiser...always did like the seven up convertibles... Sad... Bonus.. -
