I miss them also... And I own a MINI Cooper S and MIata...a 65 Impala SS would look like an aircraft carrier in the driveway next to them.... But yeah, a fullsize American car with style.... Agree with 98 regency's post. He pretty much sums it up.

They are...and with the MINI come several test drives in whatever I want to take out. The people who have the Green GTO also bought my 71 Chevelle, and they also will let me test drive pretty much anything.

My lawyer drives nothing but cadillacs, and keeps them immaculately detailed. Why do you think I use him?

They are trying to become a full line automaker. As a current MINI owner (picked it up yesterday) I'm starting to see some wisdom in the Countryman SUV thing. They are selling a boat load of them around here and people seem to love them.... We'll see what the five door brings...

My only question is what happens when a car becomes a tube frame race car and the vin is gone... obviously at that point, it's never going to get registered for street use ever again, so the point is probably moot but....it would still be illegal to own that car. The '67 GTO is pretty sweet...though the '65 is my favorite of the early GTOs. Chevelle gets the styling nod from me over GTO for '65 Lamar: 17K for a slick black Magnum sounds pretty good to me too. It's close, but I prefer the GTO. But I remeber the maroon pristine 65 Chevelle the girl next doors boyfriend drove when I was in 7th grade. She was hot, the car was hot...he was banging that and driving that...lucky guy! Correction...utterly stunning... Love the 66...had a chance to buy a car just like that...I've been kicking myself for twenty years for passing on it.

You might look at BF good rich G force Touring tires...had them on the Miata...incredible grip and handling, great tire wear (unless you try to drive it sideways through cones every Sunday, of course) good in the rain... I really liked those tires. Also have had good luck with Pireli P6 as a decent handling all season tire.

Good luck...looks like a neat vehicle... Needs a vintage race car on a trailer behind it for the full effect though....

I wish I was in a position to buy it, but we just bought the MINI....and I've got six cars right now so....aughhh....
