  1. I love this car as well...FANTASTIC car, and GM got this thing just right.
  2. Would be a neat little cars.....
  3. That thing is pricey!
  4. Not to be overly political, but given the Patriot act and how we reacted...yes...the end of the US as we know it. i would still like to become an ex-patriot, even though there are things I love about our country.
  5. I know your lying here...a 2g E-Clipse would have to run long enough to actually race your Cobalt to get bested by it... I know...you took the E brakes off and let the cars coast down the driveway, and the chevy still won because a wheel bearing locked up on the E-Clipse....okay...if you want to call that racing... But isn't the motor supposed to be ON if you are actually "motor" racing? And I like the way you think here... Solstice stays...HELL YES! And Cruze is on our short list for next car (MINI, Fiesta, VWW TDI are others on the list...)
  6. 36 is still damn good....but... Most of the guys in the TDI club are getting from 39 to 46 average MPG.. so...there...
  7. Actually, having actually experienced BOTH vehicles in anger...and personally outrun a modified current gen EVO in a dead stock 1995 Miata of my friend Sean....all I can say is... The article is correct, and one of the best written automotive articles I've read in awhile. The Evo does out handle the Miata, no questions asked... The current gen (NC) Miata needs spring and shock work to make it what it should be...so many older people are buying Miatas right now that Mazda had to dumb down the handling a bit to keep the car marketable. Now a Third gen Miata with the Fly'n Miata suspension bits...incredible. We've got a car in the club set up that way...it takes 15 MPH turns at 55 MPH without even sqeeling the tires.... Notice how many cars the MIata beat.... And that they do pan the Lancer for being built on a 15 K crappy compact in the article... Thanks for the ribbing Reg... And actually, I've kind of started to think the Aztec is a heck of a lot better looking than the Acura and BMW attempts at the same....
  8. Sorry to hear of this Roger....thinking of you and your family!
  9. Actually, those motors should be cheap used.
  10. I'll be sorry to see the old girl go!
  11. Let's hope she don't5 get donked...but with balthazar on this one, I really like say a 64 Impala ragtop much better...
  12. ...and a huge part of it for me also... Drool...I'd add in a GT40 MK II, Lola T70, and a Ferrari P330... Also like many '60s-70s F1 cars, esp. Lotuses.. As far as down-to-earth lust objects, I've always had a soft spot for the original Challenger, the '67-68 Cougars, '67-70 Mustangs, '69-70 Ford XLs, '69-72 LTD coupes and convertibles, '61-67 Lincoln Continentals (esp. the convertibles), '61-66 Thunderbirds, '63-67 Corvettes, '68-70 GTOs, '63-65 Rivieras, '66-67 Rivieras, '71-72 Rivieras, '67-70 Eldorados, and '66-67 Toronados... That era is just so awesome to me as well...I love the hide away head lights of the era....
