  1. i wish it was cheaper, I'd own one in a heartbeat....
  2. Putting the top up ever is pretty much against my religion...my 15 year old daughter and I drove across Kentucky in the Miata during a heavy rain storm with the top down...at about 72 miles per hour, rain went right over the top of the car, and we stayed dry. I'm still cruising around with the top down, and it's November in Ohio. IMHO convertible tops perform the valuable function of keeping the neighbors cat out of your car while it's parked out front, or in the garage.... But yes, I could see how with a good looking 1960's roof line you would prefer a hardtop.
  3. Welcome to the /USA/Canda, where everything is done (crappily) to the lowest bidder. Like blu said, on behalf of decent, professional body shops, you have my sympathy.
  4. See...trash talking like a kid from the hood already....you are aware that I'm really tired of donks, right? Low riders not so much, I've seen some really cool ones built from the 78-87 GM midsize cars.... And while I have a real love for Grand Prix, the 67 Ragtop kind of is my fav. in some ways...you know of my love of convertibles, it's a one year only car, and it has a nice, flowing design IMHO>
  5. Make the change...I used to work 65 hours a week, now I work more like thirty five. simplify, simplify, simplify....
  6. Ya gotta admit, those halos make that Camaro look mean! I think the shot of the Camaro with the halo's is my fav.
  7. Second location is much better....
  8. Saved the best for last, love the color on this poncho....
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgtOAG9wAOo&feature=grec_index http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTsxS7l_DvY&feature=related And some more pure Pontiac Porn.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzlneG5tN_w&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDuHVSF352I&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHvYzbrQPUk&feature=related Since we know Balthazar loves low riders and donks, I included this....
  10. Contact a librarian who preserves old manuscripts...my sister in law does that at a library, and they have all kins of useful techniques.
  11. Fantastic...but could have used a little fill flash to take away some of the effects of the car shadows...which kind of intersect at odd angles a couple of times... But Overall...fantastic! Oh, and those rims also look really good on the Intrepid...
  12. Yes it would...but for as nice as the Kisashi is...we really don't need one more player in a crowded market. Hoping they go belly up here in this market....
  13. I think in Ohio antique means that you can only use the vehicle for club activities, parades, car shows, and exhibition, and not as regular transportation. Go for it in terms of registering it as an antique....
  14. Other questions- How do you find the audio system? How is back seat headroom? Is the dash-center stack area layout intuitive and easy to use while in heavy traffic? How much fuel economy does the car seem to loose in heavy traffic? Would you be happy with this in the driveway as a long term ownership experience? Do you think the styling would feel busy with time? I kind of like the styling...not sure how I would feel about it after five or six years of onership... But nice car...anything you can chip in is appreciated....
  15. I have another handling question-How does it do on the "washboard" roads we have in the midwest? I'm talking interstates with lots of expansion joints with frost heaves. Drove a friends vibe around I 27- today, and it rode worse than my Miata.
  16. It really is a very decent car. oddly enough, I went in and looked at one, very impressive. Trade ins on the Kizashi? Someone traded in a low mile 76 Mercedes Benz diesel, another Kisashi trade was a brand new V6 Camaro, another was an Evo-Mitsubishi, and another was a Porsche Cayenne SUV, older and higher miles... Obviously, if people who drive interesting cars are trading interesting stuff back in to buy them, that says something about the car.
  17. Saw a very fantastic 69 Olds 442 post today, dark green, wonderful condition, made me want to own one!
  18. Figures...a Pontiac Grand Prix won the rally in the article linked. Just can't get away from Pontiac, can you? (Nor should you...)
  19. Yeah...it's a project....
  20. Fantastic!
  21. Wife and I are going to be in the market for a car, thanks for the update! Cruze is looking better all of the time.
  22. Which is a huge part of the problem....Ohio is about and bankrupt as California right now...and sixty miles will go halfway to Cincinnati from Columbus...or not even....
  23. Here is the challenge..tell me how much it would cost to build an actual high speed rail system in Ohio if I handed you four hundred million dollars today...seriously....
  24. To do high speed rail...we would need to fund the system adequately. A recent estimate for a line between Milwaukee and Madison was $810 million....and that rate per mile...it would cost about eight or ten billion dollars just to put a basic system into Ohio. Not that I would mind spending the money...I'd spend it here rather than on another carrier group we are never going to use. But we can''t just cough up 7 and a half billion dollars out of an already short Ohio treasury to do so. Want to see what happens with the high speed trains on the coasts as this will get interesting.
