  1. Totally agree with you on how screwed up the Economic situation is....
  2. Automotive paint schemes you like.... Loved the old red white and blue of the old AMC stuff.... I am still a sucker for 1950's two tone....and Ford Crown Vics. They look great as mild customs too! Perhaps my all time favorite car/color combination is the iris color Pontiac offered on the 1965 GTO! In my opinion, 65 GTO rates just behind the 1958-1962 Corvettes as just about the ultimate GM car ever.
  3. Car is not that seriously hurt...but not sure what is going to become of it. ...and I am thinking of getting a much more substantial car....
  4. Agree with you Sixty Eight.... GT3 Porsche and Z06 are I thi9nk much better ownership prospects than the LFA... Parts for cars once they pass a certain point and become unobtainium...there is a reason that the 2000 Mustang Cobra R's are all parked in private collections rather than running SCCA weekends and the like...Ford made very few spare parts for these cars....and so they gather dust rather than entering Combat. The same will be true of the LFA. Meanwhile...Sixty Eight will be an old man crouched over with a cane from his many years of busting his butt at UPS, attending a vintage race...and watching his daughter Sofia cheer on her Husband and son as they compete with a vintage 2012 Z06...
  5. My grandfathers fav. car was a Hudson Hornet...my mother loved that car...she was twelve at the time...she's now seventy...some perspective on how long ago this thing ruled the streets and nascar. But I am slo with Sixty Eight...it would be so cool to have a modern version of THAT car....guy who used to live near me had a bunch of them...I used to lust after that car as a kid...on my death bed I will honestly regret never owning a Hudson Hornet. My wife's family had one of the 70's Hornets when SHE was twelve...THAT car is best forgotten, in the depths of automotive diaeresis that have been flushed down the scrapyard toilet to be forgotten. A new funky Golf-Ish Hornet could be cool...wife and I killed a little bit of time this ayem car shopping...looked at a Cruze and the new VW Beetle...a new Hornet...Golf like...BRING IT!
  6. Driving school would be an excellent Idea!
  7. Ditto on the blue.
  8. A lot of guys in that boat...a whole lot. Good luck on the job 67!
  9. Honda is still doing very well...but... Here in central Ohio a lot of people work for Honda...and a lot of people on the inside of the company will tell you exactly the same things the article states. ...all I am gonna say about THAT...
  10. Sorry to hear of things going so badly for you... And also sorry to see the loss of the Challenger out of the C and G fleet!
  11. Airex is sweet, thanks for posting this!
  12. Although the FT86 might...but the rest of the brand...meh...
  13. Actually two of them...both factory five... Nick's GF awaiting a ride in the GTO I got a chance to drive this Vee Dub...lots of fun... Me in the Miata before my son messed it up a bit... The GTO in action...
  14. So long as he doesn't kill my cat/...we are good!
  15. Jag Xk140 FTW! And agree on the E type...
  16. Considering the apocalyptic state of the economy, not a bad thing for Buick, my friend! Astra coupe may come back as a Verano Coupe...I just hope they market it right this time. Astra was a sweet little car, shame it never took off for GM!
  17. Pretty much what I am doing....but excellent advice, thank you sir. Looks like it isn't hurt that badly and that it will be saved...but my son will be making regular payments to me for awhile...HIS idea, not so much mine....not tht I wouldn't have suggested it but...glad to see him wanting to take responsibility.
  18. Not entirely...the Mopar small 2.2 Turbo stuff was cool, we had the beginning of the modern vette, the foxbody mustang was cool, the 911 had a good decade, the Grand National, you could still buy an RWD cutty or El Camino ( know, you've probably forgotten what those were)...RX-7, Supra was still a decent car, Celica and Corolla were still RWD and cool, the Honda stuff was still small and fun to drive, the SUV craze hadn't hit, we still had full size wagons, we brought back convertibles, Used muscle cars were on car lots everywhere cheap, and...more if you think about it. It was a disaster in a lot of ways but there were bright spots.
  19. Buick Regal looks fantastic from the front though...as does the Fusion. I know they fit the profile, but the styling from the front on both of these is growing on me.
  20. Convincing him not to sweat it is the hard part, the insurance thing I can handle. Methinks it's going to get rebuilt, I may not even have to total it...book grand is still like eight grand, amazing in that I only paid 9 four years ago...
  21. Jesus sweet mother of Mary...that is the funniest thing I've seen all day!
  22. The whole thing with Hyundai is that they still feel ungodly cheap crap...even the Genesis coupe feels like an old 80's Atari game station....
