  2. Only if your a taxi driver in NYC or running in a demmo derby... Chris
  3. AB Jenkins was indeed the driver. Chris
  4. I would disagree here. In 88 I would have easily bought the Accord over the Olds. However, I feel that things are much closer now, and were I to buy a midsized car today it would be a Malibu or an Aura. The Fusion would also now place ahead of the Accord for me. The largest thing for me as a buyer would be the difference in Luxury cars. (assuming that I was into luxury cars). I would agree with O.C. that the Audi is a hot car, and I would agree with Oldsmoboi that the CTS is a hot car. Don't really see anything from Lexus or Acura that would come close. Am really personally after reading 9,354,876,876 posts here on the matter really starting to think the Japanese and Koreans don't "Get" luxury cars. Chris
  5. This whole buy American thing is growing on me. It is also one of the reasons that I hope a Democrat wins in November, as I feel the Democrats will be far more likely to take a hard look at our trade agreements. Chris
  6. Good news indeed. They should sell a lot of these. Now lets see if they bring it out in the Rabbit.
  7. Agree with the diesel part, but the Patriot just needs to die. Chris
  8. It could fine a very nice home in my garage, under a very nice warm car cover. Seeing this car in B5 blue is enough to make me want one badly.... Chris
  9. ...and CaddyC, you are IMHO correct, the G6 also looks better than the Altima. Chris
  10. ...IMHO it's actually much worse looking. In person the lines and proportions of the Nissan are all wrong. Chris
  11. Ditto on the Nylabones. Chris
  12. E85 may indeed be the wave of the future. In some places in Brazil, they've got a ratio of 8 gallons of ethanol for every gallon of dino juice they put in. Plus look at all of the open wheel drivers that are Brazillian. Ya just gotta love the Brazillians... chris
  13. When I was a kid there was an entire large (400+) car junkyard in my home town all filled with 50's cars. One day my dad and I drove by (think I was 8 or nine so this would be like about 1972) and they had all been crushed, every single one of them. When I was in high school and getting parts for my Chevelle, I counted 9 (yes nine!) SS396 Chevelles in various states of disrepair. I also bought parts from a guy who took a 67 SS396 and put it on a Blazer frame and made a 4WD out of it. The colector cars of tomorrow are indeed in danger today. sadly, this is why I believe tales told to me of Packards, Cadillacs, and dusenbergs rotting in salvage yards in the 30's, 40's and 50's. Chris
  14. Gonna be hard to watch that Shadow go, isn't it DF? Sounds like when you graduate you need to buy a nice Charger SRT8 in its memory. Chris
  15. Great place to go and hunt, and you can see the stars at night. Had a friend who used to live in Sundance, Wyoming. Actually think it would be cool to go there and see a rodeo or two. But I would need to rent a Chevrolet pickemup to go there. I would be laughed out of the state with any of my current drivers! Chris
  16. Obama may actually be a damned good president. Glad to see you here after your departure. Chris
  17. Maybe Fred Phelps will burn a Camaro in front of his church in response... Chris
  18. Tesla Roadster, anyone? There will be fun cars in the future, they will just take a very different form from the cars of today. Or maybe I'll just switch to motorcycles...my wife would kill me before the bike would.... Chris
  19. Keep us posted. There is a nice dark blue mid 80's Cadillac 4 door near me that seems really clean, but I don't like the color.
  20. Seriously, with the smart car out I'd bet that we will see some interesting variations on "city cars." This might actually work out to be a good idea for a city car in a small European city. However, it would suck major ass to drive that car across Wyoming. Chris
  21. Actually one of the most interesting crash tests I ever saw was a fighter jet that went into a concrete wall. Since it was travelling at 500MPH it didn't fare too well. Chris
  22. Actually this is why I like small cars in a way. Getting out of an accident is better than surviving one, and being able to react quickly has saved my sorry butt on many occasions.... Chris
  23. What Pontiac Model was named in honor of the guy who set several records racing/testing Pontiacs? Please name the Driver and the Car. Hint- was one of the longest running Pontiac name plates. Chris
  24. Same as the Bananna boat, wish there were more of these cars around... Chris
