  1. I know, I know. We need the Camaro, we need a Pontiac version with 1977 Firebird Retro Cues, we need an Impala that is a retro throwback to 1965 or 1966 (all these will sell dammit, RWD or not for the Impala), we need to move G8 Production to the good old USA or at Least Canada, this decision on the Impala at the end of the day has the possibility to make or break at least one division: Pontiac.
  2. Ya Know... At this point, I could really care less if Zeta happens or not... I mean FWD or RWD or even AWD I could care less. All I want is a BIG, AMERICAN, CAR. Is that so hard? I am really wary of talk of replacing the Impala with EPII or cutting it altogether, what does this do for me? Take Impala out of the picture. When I go to buy a car from GM, I'll have the following choices based on my own criteria: DTS Replacement, Lucerne Replacement, Regal. Hoping that the new Regal is a real Buick and not a warmed over Lexus that looks like a Buick, a relatively base model one will be in my grasp (I Hope). With the moving of Buick upmarket, There will not be anything to directly replace the Impala should it be discontinued. Just like the LeSabre, the Impala is a premium American family sedan, not a Near-Luxury or Luxury Car. If there is equivalent offering to the current Lucerne CX in the new large Buick sedan as a result of the move upmarket, than the Impala has to stay, because there is no more brand overlap, and it won't be splitting sales with the other similarly priced W-Bodies or the Lucerne CX, this increasing sales quite a bit methinks. Weather the NG Impala is a Zeta, a Modified-to-fit-a-6-Speed G-Body, or an EPII that somehow doesn't drive like a Malibu, it needs to be there.
  3. Yes they are... In a couple years when I buy my dad's I'll buy a 2007 Monte to go with it... Double the fun :AH-HA_wink:
  4. What he said. For EPII to be a suitable Impala replacement, and have me buy one... It's going to have to A) Not Ride Like A Malibu- The new Malibu rides nice but the Impala is much more well behaved and justifies the higher price. B) Wider with better, more supportive and well stuffed seats ala current Impala PS: Have they considered taking the G-Body and Modernizing I/E Longer Wheelbase and less overhangs?
  5. @ Oldsmoboi- Correction- I think it's only the 300 that outsells the Lucerne, not the Taurus.
  6. I'd personally go with the LeSabre but it's up to you- all those cars and their engines are among the most dependable in JD Power.
  7. God, people can be so filthy to their own family! Hopefully you have a better one next year.
  8. At the end of the day, I've got no control over what happens, so I'll accept whatever may come to pass. Should anything stupid/adverse happen, I know I'm going to keep the Impala running as long as possibile, maybe add a 2006-07 MC later on down the line and enjoy what once was... But I don't think anything too too bad can happen. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Both the Roadmasher or the Mercedes Wagon would be great but I'd lean towards the Buick myself.
  10. Is that the same Purple Color they use on the GP GXP? Nice TB by the way.
  11. You'd be surprised the stories I hear from some Best Buy employees :AH-HA_wink:
  12. You should get him paying for a rental car PDQ.
  13. Right Back At You, 'Blu. And a hearty Merry Christmas from me too.
  14. Did this happen to the Aztek or your 500?

  16. I'd call the radio station and try to get on air to tell him this...
  17. No death penalty in Canada unfortunately.
  18. Looks Like They Got Him Already... And he's been charged in the First Degree which indicates to me that he planned to get this specific guy. At least he's off the streets.
  19. Awww Yeah!
  20. I'd say it has good torque. Gas Pedal is a little more stiff than some of the other cars I've been driving but then again that is more than made up for by the fact that the steering isn't as loosey-goosey as the stupid electric steering in the Maxx. VS the LX9, it accelerates smoother, more consistently, with less noise and jerks and the gas pedal doesn't have a dead-zone like the Malibu (where it accelerates slowly and then past a certain threshold it's suddenly more powerful). So overall I'm satisfied.
  21. In Canada Yes, with the LS Sport Package and Advance DIC options respectively.
