  1. Buick's not going anywhere.
  2. Let us know how the Focus works! I can't believe they'd be THAT bad... But I surmise they're no 500.
  3. I agree... and a little birdie makes me think that RWD is only safe at Pontiac right now... so your idea may yet come to pass.
  4. The Phoneyest (?) plood I've ever seen is in the Impala we just bought... the stuff in LaCrosse is fake too but it looks more believable.
  5. It was an Intrigue...
  6. I have to echo der Börger on this one... Sometimes it's too late for anything to be done.
  7. 1993 Sixty Special... Rare with a capital R
  8. I don't care, I don't think I'd be able to hear him from the trunk of my Impala anyway... :AH-HA_wink:
  9. For the Parents... 65 Impala SS, 67 Acadien, 67 Delta 88 Hardtop Coupe, 1975 LeMans, 1972 Cutlass S, 1989 Grand Am, Dustbuster, 3 Ventures, Maxx, 07 Impala LS, 97 Cavalier Grandparents 07 Impala LT, 2 1970s Chevy Vans, 1956 Cadillac, 1953 Chevy, 1946 Chevy, 1972 Pontiac, 1940s GMC farm truck... and more that they can't specifically remember When you've had that many cars from one manufacturer, you expect them to always be there... GM is part of the family over here.
  10. I Loove early sixties Imperials!
  11. I've tried to keep the fact that I have a soft spot for Wagons secret... but alas. When I buy a winter beater to keep the Impala nice in the next few years... well.... This is on the top of my list.
  12. GM looks like it might surpass them by the skin of their teeth... We'll have to wait for worldwide numbers but It'll be a photo finish methinks.
  13. Since the G8 isn't in the UAW Agreement, IF (Big "IF" Right Now) The G8 is to be manufactured by GMNA it's gonna have to be made in Canada or Mexico, but Oshawa would be the logical place to build IF it was going to be built in North America.
  14. I really wish there was a cream color...
  15. I feel awfully betrayed too, but at the end of the day, because my driving requirements only require it to be conservative, tasteful, and American (RWD, FWD, AWD, it's all good), I won't put my megaphone away, there's almost sixty years of GM in my family and I won't give that up over one betrayal, but I will definitely think twice about my enthusiasm towards a new GM model... Hell If they don't have an affordable large sedan anymore with Buick going upmarket and Impala going Epsilon... I WILL buy a TAURUS. That's not a threat, but rather a Promise.
  16. I wonder if you could order a Chevy fascia for that The Zeta I would buy would be the G8 SportWagon
  17. That is true.
  18. I don't think so. They promised us at least that one. It's being assembled on a new line in Oshawa specifically designed to be flexible enough to build both FWD and RWD, from different platforms, at the same time. That being seen, they can justify a lower volume Camaro along with (maybe) the G8 family and a mid to high volume Chevy FWDer such as an Impala
  19. Ad far as I can tell, the only building I can recognize in the 1950 picture that is still up is the tall one in the back, the Palliser Hotel...
  20. You know I was really hoping for Cadillac to continue to have a unique to brand powertrain on its upper models...
  21. The Bow is going to be nice, but I wish it was just a tad taller...
  22. F*$k! Shopping List: 1997-1999 Deville Roadmaster LT1 You know, the UAW Agreement also lists a large Chevrolet sedan to be made at Fairfax that's not the Malibu, is it possible that this is the large FWD Caprice (since it can't be called Impala outside of Oshawa) without listing a specific platform? Is it also possible that Oshawa may be closed?
  23. Camino, I surmise that they can get around that by building the Buick and Caddy large FWD models side by side @ the same plant... on a different platform that I hope to god is not Epsilon II.
  24. Maybe Maximum Bob is coming true on the G8 line of RWD products...
