  1. I still think they should build that... with a big ol' canvas sunroof. Joe, love that Impala!

    Taking a step

Message on my phone tonight: my salesguy called... my new truck should be in by the end of the month. I have 20 days to sell my Colorado.
  3. I had to dust off this hoary old thread to let you guys know I had a very special introduction to a very special lady yesterday at work: Gaye B. Cox. w00t! (First time I've said w00t.)
  4. I don't like things on my body, but I could deal with a small tat or piercing on someone else. Sleeves, huge tats and multiple piercings are gross though.

  6. I want to see the complete car before I pan it. I like the concept of a LAX Super. If it's executed well, with plenty of "iron fist in a silk glove" attitude, it'll be cool until EP II.
  7. Well thanks, Mr. Jacket, and I agree the Commodore looks good in black. Black saves a lot of boring designs, but it is a bitch to keep clean.

  9. Commodore is a boring car overall, with sporty parts attached, like the fascias, wheels, and ridiculous wing. It appears dated to me, uninspired. I hope Uncle Bob doesn't forget the outcry that accompanied the intro of the excellent but... bland GTO. Everything we've seen this show season from GM has reinforced the fact that GM's design mojo is back in full force. To import this car and merely change the badging will further weaken Pontiac as a brand. I am not talking about adding 500 pounds of cladding, that would surely be suicide. I am talking about something with some verve, sensuality and dynamicism built into the sheetmetal... adjectives that do not describe the uber bland Commodore. And they need 3.6L V6 versions in addition to the V8s... and optional manual transmissions in all versions.
  10. Hey Nick, that was quite a story. It is very mature of you to share it. I hope everything goes smoothly with the engine replacement. On a much, much smaller scale, I feel like I have a bit in common with your plight. Each one of my 4 VW's had minor, very odd things go awry. Things that I've never had go wrong with any of my GMs, but when balanced with the sheer joy of driving, it was worth owning them at the time. This time around, I almost sprung for a Rabbit or GTI, but a dose of reality interfered with my plans and I went with the safer longterm bet . Sometimes, the big picture becomes clear. Best of luck to you, sir.

  12. (Hint: she's probably crying because she wants a little "Like a Rock" outfit. She likes Chevy Trucks, too!) :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Where the current car seems fat and bloated, this concept is much more dynamic. Much nicer than the Altima coupe, imo.
  14. Agreed.
  15. La Toya Jackson
  16. ***GASP!!!*** But... how could that be?
  17. Croc, look at your post again. Does it make any sense? People who get it, get it through behavior, unless they are in utero. Some people don't know they have it. Everyone needs to protect themselves.
  18. JDM Toyota?
  19. The Malibu and Camaro convertible look sensational up there on stage together. Yeah buddy!
  20. I wrote a collision estimate on an '05 Accord coupe yesterday with 15k miles (small door ding in the left quarter panel). The engine took forever, it seemed, to fire. That little tinny starter just kept turning and turning for about 10 seconds, then, finally, ignition. Seems chintzy compared to my truck. One flick of the key, the truck starts. No need to hold the key to keep the starter turning.
  21. Snickers
  22. Watch, they'll throw out the results as "invalid".
  23. Looks better than I thought it would.
