  1. That's a nice area, Croc. I miss living there (I was on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, within easy daytrip distance of Baltimore, Annapolis, DC, and ocean beaches, sigh). *whew*... good, CB. Didn't want you to get all drugged up and violated. Have fun, sir.
  2. Well, I hope this pans out to the "T". I see no potential sacrifice in sales volume in doing this. They can still offer entry-level models, they'll just be RWD. The first Sunbird was RWD, remember? They will still need Solstice, and then 3 sizes of coupes, sedans, convertibles and one sportwagon, all RWD with optional AWD. Returning to real model names is also in order. This is what so many Pontiac enthusiasts have been hoping for for many years, and GM needs to get started on this project sooner rather than later. This is very encouraging news.

  5. Well, maybe if he weren't such a dirty little whore, people wouldn't miss him so soon? Staying in the camper sounds like fun. I should be tent camping this weekend, dammit.

    Hit a dog.

Yeah, that's a whole other subject. I'd be devastated if I hit any animal.
  7. Did you stop having your monthly too, Paulie? :AH-HA_wink: I am sitting here right now being bombarded by Latin music as my neighbors are having a huge house party. If history is an indicator, the redundant *dum de dum DUM* beats will continue late into the night. The other neighbors' party is still going as well (the one I attended).
  8. From what I can see, I like it. The high beltline they popularized with the 300 is being copied by other manufacturers. Look at the new Camry and Optima. The "Chrysler" lettering on the decklid seems redundant, because if I remember correctly, it's spelled out in the shield on the winged emblem also. I agree with the person that said the C-pillar has some ION in it, but I think here it is better executed. I'll have to see the black-out triangle on a light colored car to pass judgment, it may lose the ION echo in a lighter color. For me, I feel like this will be another Caliber. I hated it at first, but the more spy photos that come out, the more intrigued I become. The pictures look like they were taken in a foreign country. Look at the top picture, some of the other vehicles in the picture are not available here, and the "P" sign looks euro.
  9. God, that's horrible, bowtie. Suicide is cowardly and selfish, I feel. I hope you guys are able to rationalize the incident soon, something like this has to be hard to get out of your mind.
  10. A Swift 3 door with Sport package would be my little car of choice. It looks like a high-top sneaker, but it's masculine, and with the driving dynamics I've read about, it would be a blast to drive. I will be looking at an SX4 AWD though.
  11. I've read from several sources, including the Suzuki website, that the SX4 is based on the award-winning new Swift that has so endeared itself to the European automotive press.
  12. Yesterday I went to my dad's for a family picnic. Today I am invited to my neighbor's for a cookout, but each guest has to cook their own steak on his smoker. Yippee. And I have to buy a water heater because mine is leaking into my garage. Hoorah. I hope to take off for somewhere fun tomorrow, maybe Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Annapolis, or one of the coastal Maryland/Delaware beaches. Then it's back to hell/work on Tuesday. Bob, say hi from all of us at C&G to Harry while you're in West Palm. And please don't take any pills if he offers, you might wake up feeling like you've had a medical exam of some kind.
  13. A rollerskate with headlights, to be sure, but all reports say the thing is fun to toss around.

    Hit a dog.

You could try heating the bumper cover, which sometimes allows the plastic material to regain its memory (seriously). Unless there is hidden damage to metal parts (impact bar, mount brackets to frame rail) there should be no rust problem.
  16. Since the damage appears to be on the face of the bumper cover and not the sides, your color match concern should not be a problem. The body shop only has to take off the bumper cover, repair the surface damage, put color only over the primered area, then clearcoat the entire cover. They should have enough space to blend the teal basecoat within the face of the cover. A color match problem would only show at the sides of the bumper cover, where it fits up to the quarter panels, and most clearcoats are pretty clear.
  17. "zzzzing....." Anyhoo, glad it went "well". And "auntie ocn" will never be heard from again. It's back to our regularly scheduled "uncle ocn". Ahem.

    Invicta name out

Bolero would be a good name for something like a Kappa Buick, but it doesn't really fit a luxury car, imo.

    Invicta name out

I like Invicta better than "Statesman", which only conjures up images of George Washington. Sure, he's a revered figure, but he's so "1776". I prefer the Invicta name, a reinforcement of Buick's identity.

    Hey

Those are song lyrics. I love the song, and I should have credited it, but I don't know the name of the band. The song is called "Crazy".
