  1. This may not have been a trade-in, it could have been bought at auction, originally purchased by a speculator looking to make a quick profit. And of course the Chrysler dealership wants it on their lot to generate buzz, curiousity, and more profit.
  2. A clue: don't go to the slums.
  3. Enterprise
  4. I love the Harbor, and Fells Point. Of course, I also go up to Mount Vernon. DC, however, is so cosmopolitan, it's a really cool town to visit.

  7. So far it sounds like you're Sally Field at the Oscars ("You like me! You really like me!") I wouldn't fret over what was said. I'd keep an open mind for the next interview, and go from there. Go get 'em, tiger!
  8. Sigh... so many old cars in good shape, so little money and no place to keep it safe from the weather...
  9. Watch yourself. We've had two "Certified" used Cobalt SS/SCs in our shop shortly after being purchased by their second owners. Both cars showed definite signs of previous collision repair. Both had low mileage. This is always a concern for me if I am ever in the market for a used car. Of course, if this possibility does not bother you, go for it.
  10. The Pathfinder is a much better-looking vehicle than the Durango. The new front end on the Durango is testament to the fact it was not well-received.

  13. It was a beautiful day at the campground yesterday. HOT. I went up to pay my dues and spent the day. And yes, my balls did get sweaty, but that's summer, baybee. It's all good!

  15. That looks very good, Fly.
  16. Wow, that's an excellent picture of the Airflite. Very sexy looking.
  17. You should be able to sell the Panther pretty quickly for that price, 68. From what you've told us, it's got some rust and mechanical issues. I had a second cousin who had a white '64 Starfire with red vinyl interior. That thing was so big, breezy and confident. No wonder GM was so far above everyone else at that time. The '64 Olds is a solid, sweet car.

Looks like a tough little motha. I like it.

    ....

That basic style of headlight started out on the 300C, with the round element outboard of a rectangular one. The Pacifica always reminded me of a dirigible. It seems... inflated or something. It looks porky, imo. I am not a fan of the hood strakes. I hope they don't spread to the 300. Does the new Sebring have them? (going to check the other thread)
  20. Well, people like Bob Lutz and the hundreds of thousands of GM enthusiasts who remember when GM was so far out front they were untouchable have to turn this "speculation" into reality. It must happen if Pontiac is to be a relevant brand once again.
  21. The Viper's ass is very masculine, compact and muscular. I like it. The C5's big butt, while not the most attractive ever hung on a car, is functional. Isn't that the definition of a Kamm tail? I love the Cayman's greenhouse. I prefer the Cayman to the Boxter for that reason.
  22. I don't know the WA number, but I would go with Superior Blue, the recent GM color available on Impala/Monte Carlo/Colorado. I would not go with black because it shows any little imperfection in the bodywork. Black SS-style stripes up and over would look good with the blue though.
  23. I probably couldn't, especially after reading about the 44-year-old woman who slipped out of the tandem harness this weekend and fell to her death during her first jump. I'd be the guy clinging to the side of the door frame of the plane with my hands if they pushed me out. Jumping off a dune strapped to a parasail sounds fun though.
  24. I am going to recuse myself from any further comment because those who have said it are right... unless you feel it or see it firsthand, you just don't know. When I was 18 and just graduated high school, I went through a period of depression where I was so caught up in worry about my future I could barely function. I didn't see a future away from the safety of my school friends (who unwittingly kept me from having to deal directly with being gay). I was a good student, yet I couldn't afford to go to a good college. I ended up with an AA degree at one community college, and attending another for several semesters in classes I was interested in. At the height of this, I lost weight because I couldn't eat, I couldn't think straight, I couldn't focus on my farm chores, my gray hair proliferated, and I just didn't know which way to turn. I went to my primary care doctor and told him of my mental and emotional state. The first thing he asked me was... "Are you heterosexual or homosexual?" That perceptive question saved me. Yes, I thought about suicide before going to that doctor, but after that visit, things started to clear up for me. Those words lifted me up so I could see from a different perspective. All I'm saying is, I was in a bad place, but I won't speculate on the motives of seemingly happy people who end it with little or no warning. It's a sad thing to not know if you could have helped, I'm sure.
