  1. Cool, Mr. Golden! GM has nailed the full-size SUV once again with the 900s. Excellent choice.

  3. If you were parallel parked against a curb, it didn't push your Aurora against that curb, did it? How do your left side wheels and tires look?
  4. Well, I've always liked boats. From about 1960 on up to the end, '76. GM's '77-and-up B,C and D bodies are in a different class, but I like them as well. I'd like to one day own an old car, but not right yet. I need to get my house the way I want it first.

  7. Oh God.
  8. OH NO... Fly! Well, at least the excellent driver knocked the target off the door. I would say either repair or replace the fender, of course replace both doors (probably with used doors at this point), repair the quarter panel (do I see damage there over the rear wheel, or is the light playing tricks on me?)... and I have a feeling the center pillar will need some repair, judging by the way the front door is peeled inward. The bumpers will need to be loosened and dropped at the right ends for painting access, and the headlight and taillight will need to be pulled out so they don't get paint on the edges. This is ridiculous, Fly. Wha happun this time?

  10. I've seen some comparisons to a Taurus, but not a Riviera until now.

  12. Yeah, we already know it's a Nissan because we've seen pictures of the production version. I'm going to agree with the "Altima test mule" idear posted by Variance.
  13. "Such a lonely day... Should be banned..." I've been turning that song up lately. Not sure if you're still into those boys or not.
  14. The '67 Catalina... I wonder if it's a two door...
  15. There is now information that the new Swift will be coming to the US. It's a hot little buggy and I'd like to see it here. Can anyone confirm or deny? http://www.globalsuzuki.com/swift/

  20. They should be covered under warranty, they were an original part of the car, right? My truck didn't come with mats. I bought a set of "best quality" cloth mats at Pep Boys when I first got the truck. The driver's side has a hole almost all the way through and it looks disgusting, at 32k miles. I've been thinking of a set of those "custom fit" heavy-duty rubber mats you see advertised in some car magazines.
  21. Looks sweet. Hopefully, the Kappa platform will make a name for itself in road racing.
  22. This topic is always good for a multi-page thread. Funny how even a hint of it leads us off, square into the bullseye. I like the Dodge Caliber because it is not cute, yet I like the Mini Cooper because it is cute. I'm an auto enthusiast who likes a lot of different styles of vehicles. I would hope I never end up in a pigeonhole, by my own doing or someone else's. It's now, more than likely, time for a dancing banana.
  23. My mom bought a new '88 Beretta GT 5 speed, and she had excellent luck with it for the 104k miles she had it. And for the record... the peeling paint issue was not GM's problem. Other carmakers had the same problem with certain colors. That was an issue with the paint companies trying to comply with EPA rules on primer/paint fume emissions at the plants. The "compliant" primer did not hold up to UV rays and broke down under the color/clear layers over top, diminishing adhesion and causing the peeling. This problem affected only certain colors, and if you notice, only the top surfaces peeled... directly in line with solar rays. Ford and Chrysler, and I imagine, the transplants at the time also had the problem. I know for a fact that GM stood behind this problem far longer than other manufacturers. We repainted a lot of cars at my job in Maryland. Of course, the problem has long since been fixed.
  24. ooo, and that's a Q45t... sporty. Amazingly, I could even live with the subtle rear spoiler. Nice car! You can bet the Infiniti will be much more expensive to repair if something goes wrong, though. Remember the shocks on the STS...
