The Pontiac G6 dash is nicer, but I really like this exterior. They're learning to tone down their recent weirdness very well, without retreating into bland country. Nissan's always been a good competitive citizen, in my mind, without Toyota's arrogance. Hopefully these newest vehicles won't suffer the same quality fate as the first Franco-Nippon generation did. The new Altima - nicely done, overall.

Reminds me of a pudgy, slightly malformed 3- or 5-series. I guess Chris Bangle was right, because both major Japanese rivals are sending his designs through a filter. That's not to say I don't like this new Datsun, I do.

I went into a local convenience store last week and they had these big display boxes of Laffy Taffy. I wanted to pick up a piece and shake the $h! out of it sooooo bad.

I think there's a place in Philadelphia called "The Pontiac Grill". And there's a place on 17th St in DC called "The Mercury Grill" if I'm not mistaken.

This is what's missing from the SUV segment... something sporty and personal, without being too rudimentary. I'd drive one... with 3.6L VVT, or even a forced-induction Ecotec, this thing would be hot. -

GM's Astro Ventilation led directly to the demise of "vent wings", the small, triangular windows at the front of car doors.

Stace... how could I ever forget the shift pattern of a 3 speed manual on the column... first is down and back... second is up and forward, and third is down and forward. Reverse is up and back. Neutral is in the middle, and you can move the lever forward and back.
