  1. Toyoguy, what I'm saying is... the publicity photos show the top-of-the-line Tundra. All manufacturers do the same thing, I'm not banging them for that. What I'm asking you to do is think how this design will look in base trim. If history is an indicator, the base models will have a minimum of brightwork. Look at Fly's photo of a base Taco above. I predict this will be an indicator of what a base Tundra will look like. I am interested in seeing photos of a regular cab, shortbed Tundra in production trim (we've seen spy photos of this bodystyle). I will say again... this new Tundra still misses the target for the heart of a middle American male. It's just too weird looking. The most apt description is posted above in laserlike clarity... tadpole from hell.

  7. ...get used to it, breeders! This reminds me of that secret program of the US military's that was outed... some kind of spray to make enemy soldiers want to drop their guns and make love to each other. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!
  8. How odd... we never had that grille/bumper treatment down here in the States.
  9. That sucks, but I really like your latest sig, z. I love to drive (locally) in snow. Growing up on the farm, we couldn't do anything in the fields when it snowed (well, we had to feed the cows), so we usually spent the day driving around in our 4WD pickup trucks. YEEE HAWWW!

  11. (furiously fanning myself) That Mithter Commando at thtage left in the above picture lookth tho forthful, I'm jutht all tingly inthide! /gay lithp
  12. Yup, Chicken was joking just like Fly was joking when he originally posted his "complaining" line. I wish my truck had a bed trunk.
  13. Congratulations, 06! Sounds like a nice vehicle.
  14. Oh God, that's not funny, Chicken. This was an excellently funny thread up until that point. And I don't even wear undies.
  15. Sigh... yeah. It doesn't look promising, weatherwise. I'm not worried about my own driving, it's all those other dummies out there I'm worried about.
  16. The 3.5L Charger SE is a stong value, to be sure. I too am perplexed. In the old sheme of things, the base 300 is like a Newport and the 300C is like a New Yorker. They need something over the 300C (that looks good, not hideous like the Imperial concept).
  17. The rear bumper looks like it's chrome, which gives me hope the front bumper is at least partially chrome as well.
  18. That pea-green radio display will be a nice blue at night. I love the blue VW dash lighting.
  19. ...All of which contribute to a low starting price. One reason they're popular. I'd like to see Chrysler offer a few more vibrant colors on the 300... like a stronger green than the washed-out Jadestone. A nice bright blue with an aftertint of green would be nice. A dark burgundy metallic, or even a non-metallic tan would contrast nicely with the chrome trim. Dark brown and taupe 2 tone leather interior would look great with a nice, non-metallic tan color on a 300C with chrome wheels.
  20. The current 1-ton trucks have relatively small wheels as well, so I ain't skeert. That's gotta be a GMC, and it's not a girly truck like the Yukon. This is gonna be hot!
  21. The Honda Ridgeline is nothing but a cardboard cutout of a truck. It ain't a pimple on a Silverado's butt.
  22. Oh yeah, I wasn't hoping for a mini-300. Something with as much American attitude would be nice though. I have a fear this car will be a bit too art-deco in style, like the Crossfire. That would tend to make it hard to do a midcycle refresh, imo. I like the fact that the 300 doesn't have generic anything. Wraparound, bloopy headlights have become a generic trait, imo.
  23. I like the contrast of white/black leather. With the added interior brightwork on the '06s, it will look sharp. Oh, and get the polished 5 spoke rims. That'd be a classy combination, imo.
  24. Usually, silvery dash trim doesn't look good for long. Oil from human touch turns it black, or it gets scratched easily. Also, look at all the "different" looking switches and buttons, like they went to a hardware store and bought surplus and stuck it all in that dashboard. I like the exterior, I gotta say. Of course, it's the top of the line model, so they're putting their best foot forward with the publicity photos. I'm sure it's uglier in lower trims, with black door handles, a gray grille surround, etc. Imagine that... ew. Also, are those aluminum wheels? They look like wheel covers, and they look a bit small. Overall, it looks a bit too weird to win over too many loyal truck buyers. Current Tundra buyers are pretenders, not real truck guys. This new truck doesn't break through, imo, at least in light duty form.
  25. Chrysler is the only American carmaker left with balls. Love it!
