  1. As a prime example of what is going on slowly but surely, it should alarm people that the majority of Buick's lineup is built everywhere but here. That the founding marque of GM, a quintessentially AMERICAN company, has abandoned her homeland (in the name of what, cheap labor?) SHOULD be scrutinized. If a WWII level of dedication were needed tomorrow from our auto manufacturers, could they heed the call? A nation who willingly gives up her manufacturing might deserves what she gets when the chips are down and reality sets in. YES, it IS a matter of national security. As always, our POTUS heart is in the right place, he loves America and it is his JOB to defend the USA and there are plenty of people who SUPPORT HIS EFFORTS.
  2. Well I would say Corvair coupe, Vega coupe, Monza coupe, Cavalier coupe or Cobalt coupe, but all of those are even more farfetched. Comprende?
  3. What makes me LOL even louder is that the U.S. government would let GM classify the Bolt as a truck for CAFE reasons. What on EARTH makes it a truck? Silly talk. CAFE is such a lameass joke.
  4. I saw that, I was researching Tacomas and considering one for purchase. Would be cool to have a ZR2 Duramax manual, or even a Z71 with six speed stick.
  5. GUYS, CORRECTION. THE CHEVROLET BOLT IS A CROSSOVER ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER. IT CAN BE FOUND IN THE ONLINE ORDER GUIDE UNDER "CHEVROLET TRUCKS". lol
  6. Oh but there is no comparison in sound magic. I would much much rather hear the XTS-V Sport under my foot than the Hoover CT6 Pee-HEV.
  7. Sooo... them's your doin's? MAKE IT STOP!
  8. 2-door Wranglers have hit the lots. A Rubicon was among the fresh drops at my favorite Mopar store yesterday morning as I drove to work. I would hate to see the price though.
  9. Well my hopes are dashed for an updated Colorado/Canyon for the 2019 model year. The order guide is up. No mention of new appearance or the 2.7t four. In the "color & trim" area, you can click on the new colors and get a preview. Nice new blue and orange color, a new gray... but the same style from 2015. New colors, one new wheel design, and some minor upgrades to the interior electronics. Whoopty do.
  10. Oh he's been "SPOKEN TO". Also known as CENSORED, or VILIFIED for stating his perspective. Sounds familiar.
  11. Cruze coupe All Pontiacs A compact pickup truck
  12. The only thing this reveals (as if it weren't already abundantly clear) is that the standards are too stringent to allow a good performing, efficient engine FOR THE CUSTOMER.
  13. That is because... BOOM! NOBODY WANTS IT!
  14. No that was Jaguar/Land Rover. At least in my lifetime. Perhaps it was Olds when you were young?
  15. And this would expose CAFE as an even BIGGER bugaboo. Its time has passed. Technology won't stop... but the law of physics is unrelenting.
  16. Right, sorry for the confusion, what I was saying is there were no small/big block Olds or Pontiac V8s as they were all built on their respective same architectures. That is not like Chevy though, where there was a distinct small and big block architecture.
  17. Why wait indeed? WHY oh WHY???
  18. Wasn't the Pontiac and Oldsmobile V8 built on the same architecture, regardless of displacement? So there is no such animal as a "smallblock" Pontiac or Oldsmobile V8?
  19. Dictionary a·pos·tro·phe əˈpästrəfē/ noun noun: apostrophe; plural noun: apostrophes a punctuation mark ( ’ ) used to indicate either possession (e.g., Harry's book ; boys' coats ) or the omission of letters or numbers (e.g., can't ; he's ; class of ’99 ).
  20. I'd love to have solar panels on my roof, but acres and acres of them in fields are an eyesore. Not so sure about wind. Why kill birds? I do wholeheartedly disagree with California's expensive decree to mandate solar panels on new construction. Wacko to mandate something like that, unless you WANT people NOT to build new houses... or move out of state. I think coal can be made cleaner while remaining cheap... and of course it's plentiful. CAFE has brought us troublesome multi-cylinder shutoff smallblock V8's... when an unmolested smallblock will run 400k miles with proper care... it has brought us really stupid things like stop-start... and 2.7L FOUR CYLINDER fullsize pickups! Not to mention Ford's twin turbo sixes that ace the test in the lab, but fail it on the road. There has to be a tipping point, and I think we might be past it, where physics steps in and intervenes... Americans demand larger, more capable vehicles... the engineering compromises are becoming too great...
