  1. How can the base model looks so much nicer than the uplevel? Still has those ridiculous headlights though.
  2. Full Size Trucks are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... What if I, on a lark, decide to take my Full Size Truck to a craft beer sampling, Saturday night in the city. I'd never find parking and miss half the event, while the guy in the Tesla Model S finds free electric parking and gets to the event in time! Compact Cars are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... What if I, on a lark, help my friend move from one condo to another. I'd never fit his Laz-E Boy into the car, while the guy in the Tesla Model X fits tonnes of stuff just fine! Coupes are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... What if I, on a lark, decide to take my Coupe to my child's field trip function. I'd never fit more than one kid into the car, while the people who don't make dumbass, rhetorical statements haul several kids in their vans/SUV's/trucks/sedans. TOO MANY RULES TO BE FOLLOWED. Are you a rule-follower, Booyah? Plus I am proud of my 12.3 inches.
  3. Not even cute. Over-decorated. Want to see a reg cab 6.5 foot box version, if there is one.
  4. He would still beat me, even with my massive EV torque, if I were relying on a 110 outlet... because it only takes 10 minutes to fill up his '72 Nova. also I might need to pee.
  5. I salute Dodge for keeping the Power Wagon in the lineup. I would go for the Tradesman model because I hate the Rebel grille and I think the basic trim is more in keeping with the original 1940's Power Wagon concept, also I'd get it in one of the dark green extra-cost colors, what a super-masculine beast it would be. Nice!
  6. EV's are just not fit to be someone's only car with so many variables... nail on the head with the winter range question. Plus what if I, on a lark, decide to take my Bolt to a Test&Tune Saturday night at Cecil County Dragway? I'd never make it home, while the guy in the rat rod '72 Nova I just raced gets home just fine.
  7. Thanks for the tape measure stats there, Mr. Maley. I guess the vehicle's reduced height fooled me in photos posted earlier.
  8. "RICER" I don't believe that word means what you think it means. "All show and no go" on the Trans Am scoops? AHEM, you can see they are not fake... they are functional there, Scovy Duck!
  9. Anyone who comes into a Camaro thread mentioning that awful E word should be dealt with.
  10. I still think it would be wicked as a tiny Z71... but with Chevy calling their top trim Premiere instead of LTZ, they send a clear signal that this is a car, not a truck... even though for EPA purposes, they prolly want it called a truck. Hey Drewbert, on your registration for the Encore, does it say "SW" for station wagon?
  11. I'll do anything to erase all connection in your mind between "Camaro" and "ricer". Does this help?
  12. A nice transformation, and very welcome. All of the updates are worthy and should allow Chevy to really up the ante in this crazy growing segment. I actually would not mind owning one. Looks great!
  13. Of course the mechanical upgrades are the bomb, but that green color... WOW!
  14. Indications are the 2017 Encore will come with the new 153-hp 1.4t as standard, after being offered only in the current model's Sport Touring trim. I do have to say also that even the older design 1.4t feels good to drive (the turbo torque makes it feel relatively strong, at least in the Cruze), after having owned a six-speed manual Cruze for a short while after totaling out my Fiesta. Maybe a Trax RS will have the reworked, 153-hp version of the engine. I do agree that with no fuel economy penalty, the Trax and Encore should be offered with new 1.4t and 1.5t engines, respectively. For some vehicles and some customers, more power should be considered a safety feature, not just for grins.
  15. Little Dave stood up and took notice then?
  16. Yes, the updates are measured, but they are all worthy. New front end brings it in line with Cruze and Spark. My biggest beef with the Trax was the bargain basement dash and whatnot. New upper dash is hands-down nicer, and it looks like the door trims are new as well. Only thing missing is the new-design 1.4t engine. I want a Trax Premiere AWD in an interesting color. Thanks for posting, reg!
  17. I see one XLR in York periodically (he must share part of my commute route) and I've seen the white Tesla we repaired one time on the road after the repair. Here in my town, I've seen one Tuskmobile Brougham GT in my gym parking lot. With the Amish leaving so much electricity for the rest of us to enjoy, it is a real head scratcher why I don't see more of these around. There is money, maybe it's just a question of foolishness with that money.
  18. *CAUTION: reduces battery range by 175%. Do not attempt, unless you have a nice, long cord.
  19. Thed, from what I understand, alignment is checked only once in so many cars off the line, not every one. I think a suspension alignment check should be performed as part of the dealer preparation of all new vehicles, especially after being tied down hard for shipping.
  20. Where has GM said they pioneered this construction? I am sure if more homework is done, it will be shown to fanbois that Tesla did not invent this technique either. Nice, erroneous sideways slip there also... "the upstart company that everyone wants to succeed everywhere..." "KOOLAID 50 cents!!! Get your Koolaid here!"
