  1. Maybe (hopefully) an announcement regarding a CX-5 diesel for the U.S. come coming soon. The bigger 2.5L gas is welcome news, nonetheless.
  2. Well it certainly does command respect.
  3. This one is RWD, so the buyer can get a poor simulation of what driving a real BMW is like.
  4. Everybody's broke, man.
  5. This sounds really good. CAFE becomes moot and electricity can keep its rightful place.
  6. Front end is like a Peterbilt version of a regular 500. I see this as a Kia Soul/Nissan Cube alternative. If it proves to be reliable (and the little 500 seems like it is doing well in that area), then why not? The manual transmission makes it all the more interesting.
  7. According to somebody's bible, Consumer Reports, Chevy Volt owners are so in love with their cars, that a full 92% of them would buy another Volt. That's pretty darn good, and only 1% fewer than last year, when the Volt topped the survey as well. I don't get the attraction, but this has to be good for GM's public perception amongst the misguided.
  8. Yeah, this is an improvement. It brings the Sorento into the now, but doesn't extend it into the future.
  9. Perhaps this kid's granddaddy was a designer at Chrysler back in the day?
  10. Jeez, how come this odd little duck appeals to me? It is like totally opposite of a lot of the things I rant about here......
  11. I like the short wheelbase model.
  12. It might be built like a bank vault, but Lord, is it boring.
  13. For an Alpha Buick to work, it definitely needs to look completely different from it's cross-town platform mates. Buick's best designs over the decades have been full of drama. '53 Skylark. '63 Riv. '71 Riv... That one rendering from a couple of years back that we all liked would do nicely. Fastback roof, assertive waterfall grille, hood-mounted ventiports, sweepspear shoulder line, finishing off with angry, horizontal taillights... and a potent engine powering the rear wheels. Pure Buick heaven.
  14. I like a good pizza.
  15. Nice dash I guess. Resembles a half-used bar of soap on the outside. Low, low horsepower numbers. Each new vehicle in a segment usually tries to be best-in-class, at least for the moment. This doesn't.
  16. sleeeeepy time now....
  17. Wow, 100 miles of range under ideal conditions. Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, in the 1966 Electrovair video I posted a few months back. Talk about progress!
  18. They're both about the same size, I guess.
  19. He had no reason to hang his head before his dad bought a Nova SS.
