  1. No worries. We know about internet inches. Welcome back, sir.
  2. you know what, that is snazzy
  3. whoa
  4. Have a good one, sir!
  5. Brazilian I think. I'll try to stop speculating until I see the real US deal. I've posted my wish list for now.

  7. I thought the Journey already had that slot in the lineup. And Caliber II does not sound good to me. I say just keep the Journey if they want to destroy decades of name recognition and goodwill toward the Caravan nameplate. Give Dodge a coupe and convertible version of the Chrysler 200 replacement with its own sheetmetal, drop the 200 convertible. Overlap problem solved. 300 and Charger need to both be preserved... they are very well differentiated at the moment.
  8. I appreciate the promise of fine-tuning for each major market. That makes me hopeful for some changes to the US model. I want a truck front end, this is not an Equinox CUV, nor is it a Malibu. A 2.8L diesel engine option, along with modern 4 and 6 cylinder gas engines. A regular cab smooth-sided shortbed configuration that can be optioned to a higher trim level, and a return of the Z71, big-tire 4X4 suspension option on all cabs. regular cab longbed configuration for those that want it... and a new stepside. And don't forget a lowered ZQ8 suspension package for sport truck fans. In short, I want all the variations that made the S-10 so popular, in a thoroughly modern, real BOF truck. Cover your bases to ensure your success, GM!

  10. He's obviously ashamed of his body.
  11. My little champion.
  12. Those are cool... I like that Firebird.
  13. Forgot to post this. Pulled up to a red light, looked and saw a bright red '67 Impolla coupe fill up my rearview mirror to overflowing... out for a sweet Sunday drive.

    BBBB!

Yup, and that factory Hurst shifter is a short-throw beauty. And yup, it was very cool, my Monza was that way, just a quick flick of the key and it would be fired up, when warm. Just one pump of the accelerator to set the choke would fire it up when cold.
  15. The Sonic LT hatches I've seen at the dealer (white and orange) are decidedly sedate looking in the flesh, except for the glaring eyeballs and detailed taillights. The dash doesn't look to me to be as cheap as I'd feared. Of course I didn't rub any appendages over it, all I did was put a nose mark on the door glass. I'm glad the little F-350 King Ranch Captain's Chair fold-down armrest carried over from the Aveo, that's a space-saving way to do it. Haven't seen an LTZ yet, or one with foglights. I'm surprised how small the aluminum rims look on the LT...
  16. Seent a new-style Rio hatch today at the dealer, a silvery-beige colour, LX with wheel covers and autotragic transaxle... over $18k. Clearly not worth it.
  17. Stoked the little fella up to the century mark this afternoon on Rt 283 (4 lane, clear and dry, 65 MPH limit). Felt solid and secure. Chased down a Volvo S40 T5 that passed me doing at least 80 mph while I was doing the speed limit. Slowed 'im back down to seventy and resumed my relaxed cruze.
  18. Also sawr an '11 Charger R/T with an $8000+ Mopar option package. Sinister black with black wheels and a blue offset up-and-over stripe. Subaru lot's almost empty.
  19. A base model Sport without S package, with a hardtop, is still about $24k. The only other things I'd like to have are a positraction rear end and A/C. Cool looking steel Cragar black wheels only cost $99 apiece, and BFG All-Terrain T/A tires would complete the look. Those base 16" silver steelies look positively TINY inside those wheel arches.
  20. DARN IT, I should have gone! I hope you guys took some photos. Please post them if you did.
  21. Went lot hopping today. Checked out the 2001 Sonoma ZQ8 (I thought it was a 2000), but, alas, it was a 2.2L autotragic, so it's off the list. New-style, chopped-roof Bug is terrific... LOVE those Heritage Wheels. Boxter Spyder is a honeydripper... and a '65 Bug sold new at this very dealership...
  22. Ohhh... it would be, after a wild weekend with Chris Meloni...
  23. It's a good idear, but living on one income and wanting so many things out of life collide with great force, it seems. GMC Granite pickup, AWD, 1.4L turbo, six speed manuel... It's a curse, I tell you. I've allowed my everyday need to outweigh my dirty little wants.
  24. I know Jeeps are used as summer and winter runabouts by a fair number of owners as second cars or whatever, but... those above posted photos make me skeert to consider a used one. Mental blockage?
  25. It appears to have pissed itself when that big, tough Silverado with 20s parked near it.
