  1. Oh, OK. Those look good, depending on the colour.
  2. BTW, what the hell is a "hood spear"? Does it have anything to do with a "dill spear"?
  3. Subaru Legacy it is. A fine choice for your area of the country and your job, with all-weather capability. Prease post pictures ASAP.
  4. I agree with those that say the car should not be compromised with de-contenting, that it should have a nicer interior, and it should be customizable with a wider choice of colors and wheels, like BMW and Porsche. I also agree that to make the car relevant to younger people, sticking it into grassroots racing, autocross, road racing, drifting (if drifting isn't already "over") and such should be done with a factory presence and tie-in to marketing (I rarely see ads hyping Corvette's contemporary racing successes). The car is PLENTY capable... it is, in a way, unfortunate that it has been saddled with this gold-chains, middle-aged playboy image. The Corvette is immensely better than that. Chevrolet needs to find a way to pull the rug out from under that image while gaining a new crowd of devotees.

  6. Those Terrains are so cool. My aunt wants one, but my cousin/her daughter is trying to talk her into a new Compass or Patriot. Bleh on the Compass!
  7. Wow... I remember getting the "Lesney Products" catalog in the mail as a kid and checking off all the cool Matchboxes I wanted in each new edition... pretty sure every single vehicle in the book was checked off eventually. I was such a Matchbox addict... and I loved going to the store and seeing all the ones on display, and then looking under the display at the boxes with the model number... such good times.

  9. I don't think Kermit knew what the heck he was talking abote... it IS easy being green, when you're Synergy Green! That is a wicked nice one.

    Zoom?

Oh my, a Datsun. There are worse cars out there. How expensive will it be to insure?
  11. A panther is a surefooted animal, FO SHO!

    Zoom?

Be careful what you wish for. I got one today, it was really windy.
  13. You need your butt kicked! You could have wrecked your car, or worse, been injured.
  14. Thanks, siegen! The Civic is a good example of responsible brand stewardship. I disagree about the Jetta, vehemently.
  15. No problemo, folks. Appreciated, as ever.
  16. You're joking, right? I'm pretty sure that Hondas and Toyotas have pretty linear design evolutions. Your VW just looks warmed over...and cheaper. No I am not joking. Please post photos in a timeline format and label them proving your point. There is very little, if any, linearity to successive generations of Asian vehicles that I can point and laugh at. The new Jetta will not grow stale, it is very linear and conservative.
  17. Awesome! You got to drive a Shelby? More 411, please!
  18. Not overly ugly. Seems that angry taillights are becoming a trend at DDB's auto shop. Nice.
  19. Unlike the new VW Jetta, which is a timeless, recognizable VW design, the Sonata is a one-shot deal, it will have no continuity I betcha, just like most every Asian design. Trendy... which gets tiresome quickly.
  20. Wait a minit... it was an all-over skin graft?

    Not enough wheels.

  24. Silver (with black roof and decklid) first-gen Rambler Marlin in nice shape. Interesting what AMC was able to do with so little money over the years.
  25. 750 miles, just filled it up today for the second time (this will be the third tank, it was full when I drove it off the lot). Had about a 1/4 tank left. 35.8 MPG on this tank, checked the old fashioned way, a calculator. So the car's dash meters seem to be spot on. I am pleased, to say the very least.
