  1. You've waited this long for something you wanted... a bit more time won't hurt in the long run. After the tires are on, you'll forget about it and be able to enjoy your new ride.
  2. Social conservatives should be among the ones demanding equal marriage rights, seems to me. Married people tend to be measurably more monogamous than non-marrieds.
  3. Plus One. Grand Cherokee, Liberty, and Wrangler (all the real Jeeps) need a right-sized, torque-heavy diesel engine, stat!

  5. How so? They voted in 2006 to ban same-sex marriage.
  6. I swear to God, Viper, when I posted that brilliantly funny query on FB in your Legacy gallery, I wasn't thinking this would happen.

  8. That is not what Cadillac is about. Cadillac is, and should forever be, intrinsically, proudly, unabashedly... American.
  9. EDIT: this vehicle has been sent down the highway of life to its second owner. This thread was inadvertent, sry.
  10. Name: Ford Fiesta SE hatch (2011) Date Added: 08 April 2011 - 07:41 PM Owner: ocnblu Short Description: March 15, 2011, saw me release my pickup truck into the wild blue yonder, traded for this sweet running, sweet handling little car. I couldn't be more pleased overall... plus 35.8 mpg, and it's barely broken in. BULLETIN: latest tank 40.4 MPG! View Vehicle
  11. Pretty slick, Viper. I think you've done well here.

  13. Cool... post bank-heist, perhaps?
  14. HOT, and it's so fast, it blew the mirrors back.

  16. Worse than a T-body? REALLY NOW
  17. Oh my... it's a Subaru, so it's a flat 4 or a flat 6, AKA "boxer" engine. And I'm betting lesbians look for serious machinery, the Legacy is serious, capable and sturdy.
  18. Well, this is my cousin who was about to replace her '02 Liberty with a CR-V when I talked her out of it and into another Liberty... so yes, she is a Jeep person. She thinks the Terrain is "too big" for her mother, hence the Compass idear. My aunt is currently driving a '97 S-10 Blazer she's had since new. Cousin's thinking the Terrain is bigger than the Blazer... I will need to look up dimensions for all three vehicles to confirm.

This just shows how little I knew about GM's Korean initiatives. I thought their first venture together was the horrible Kadett/LeMans that desecrated a perfectly good Pontiac name.
  20. First I was mad because I really like the old Adventurer name. Then I remembered the '78 Li'l Red Express Truck and I was like meh, OK, I understand. Hopefully they will use the Adventurer name on something else cool soon.

    Zoom?

Be sure all your i's are crossed and your t's are dotted. When I got my insurance paperwork for my Fiesta, I noticed a "commuter charge" on my policy. Come to find out, my insurance company mistakenly had me as commuting to NY or NJ for work, and it added close to $300 to my 6-month premium... and it had been that way since I switched coverage from the Cobalt to the Colorado... I was led to believe it was merely the price for insuring the truck. Needless to say, they sent me a refund. This is the second time either my agent, or my insurance company, has screwed me out of money by overcharging me. It's costing me $1570/yr to insure the Fiesta with my driving record. (I should have some bad stuff come off soon, which will lower my rates even further). Moral of the long-winded story: READ YOUR POLICY. MAKE SURE IT'S RIGHT.
  22. plus one The stripe might indicate an older, gentler driver beforehand... a good thing for any subsequent owner. But I'd have my hairdryer out immediately upon getting it home. I hope this is the car that gets you out of your automotive doldrums, Viper, so you can concentrate on other things that interest you. Good luck!

  24. Yes, please leave the Corvette largely alone... give the kids a tiny mid-engine roadster like the recent stupidly-named concept. Keep the Corvette aspirational, no compromise high performance V8 front-engine RWD.
