Very nice, XP! I think about having a boat from time to time, something easy maintenance like a Seadoo. Mom's second husband bought a gold metalflake speedboat to match her '69 Charger. When they were on high-speed runs, I used to curl up under the bow to keep my little butt from flying out, I guess. I remember slamming up and down in there, getting a headache. Mom's third husband came from a long line of Chesapeake Bay watermen. Crabbers, oystermen, fishermen. I remember going out onto the bay, leaving at like 4:30 am on a cold October morning to go oystering on his dad's fishing boat. It's a hard life.
  4. I just got wet feet going out onto my deck to look around. It was fantastic, after the heat wave.

  6. Funny, one of the random things I think about when I see a truck like that is... the sound of the doors closing... those trucks had a very distinctive door closing sound.
  7. ooo, and he only wants 2300 or best resibonal offer!
  8. So, in your travels, have you ever seen a driveway with two totally opposite vehicles parked in it? I mean, you could figure, say, a Fusion and an F-150, for example, or a Cavalier and an S-10 Blazer. I was leaving my mom's place the other night and saw a shiny gray G3. And their second car, the one no one wants to drive? A black GLK. Post your discordant driveway sightings in this here thread right here then.
  9. It looks like a decent C-body, Drew. Those 307s chug along forever, understressed as they are. I'd buy it if I were you. It seems like something you want.

  15. Look inside a 2010 Corvette. The gray plastic is gone. The center stack has piano black trim, with a bit of chrome and real stitching around the perimeter. The door trims are nicer as well.

  22. Perhaps I am answering this poll with a contrarian view, but I think perhaps the car is the right size as it is. I think the unwieldiness is perceptual and can be erased by making it appear smaller with styling tricks and improving the sight lines for the driver.
  23. Sorry, vonVee... and no harm intended with my thread title this month. I saw a beautifully restored, bright red '71-'73 Trans Am, sans chicken this morning on the way to work. Almost went over into opposing traffic getting an eyeful. And a '61 Falcon coupay (French spelling) in that pale tan colour, parked in front of a mountain house that has been wrapped in Tyvek for the last two years on the road back to the campground.
  24. Cool pics, loki!
