  1. Nice shots, looks like you had a perfect day for it this year.
  2. in the pool
  3. Don't ya have to grease the undercarriage on those though, Sixty8?
  4. Yup, see, I even forgot they gave the ugly duck hatchback a different name... Encore.
  5. How does the V6 sound under full throttle acceleration? How's the visibility, and, by extension (with seemingly thick pillars and thus, small door openings), ingress/egress? Is the trunk opening large enough to take full advantage of the usable space?
  6. ...which brings to mind the Renault Alliance, in notchback and awkward hatchback bodystyles.
  7. Yup, that's the front clip from my first car, except mine was a '73 Catalina, it had a different grille mesh.

    New Life

Well thanks usonia. Yup, I needed to get out of the office and change my routine, if only for a week. I hope to go camping then later this week and into the weekend, if the forecast holds.
  9. Still a proud old lady.

    New Life

I spent the entire day yesterday on the beach at Assateague, near Ocean City, MD. For my trip home, I decided to come back through my old town of Easton, MD, to check out the GM dealership I worked at for 10 years before moving to PA in 2003. It went out of business and has since been sitting empty, I guess it's been about a year now. I was glad to see an area dealer group's name on the front of the building, and new Chevys and Cadillacs once again sitting for sale out front. I hope they can make a go of it, as the old owners were a local fixture for decades and the location is ideal.
  11. Vipes, how'd you make out getting the Golf inspected?

  13. Maple Grove is where I ran my ridiculously fast 17 second 2004 Colorado. Yes sir. It was like everything was going in slow motion.

  15. More fun than a Drag Show. I'm scared of those.
  16. Much more fun feeling naked WITH a pickup truck than without, just sayin'... Mr. z, is this for you, or someone you know?
  17. Pish Posh. A homeowner needs a pickup truck. If you don't want payments, I'd find a nice used GM pickup truck. If you are willing to deal with payments, I'd find a nice new GM pickup truck.
  18. I remember back in the day when it was just Preston Ford. Now it's "Preston Everything"! Congrats on the new job! Maybe you'd like to move to Easton, MD? It's a nice town. Keep the Avalanche and buy something like your Dad's Subaru for the commute until you decide (1) that you like your new job and (2) that you'd like to move closer to said job.

    It's official

    Congratulations, Mr. Z-06!
  20. I hope you had a good one, Mr. Dart.
  21. Well, I am on vacation next week, and boy, do I need it. Relaxation. New scenery. No schedule. Sounds so good. This morning, I am heading up to Tioga County, PA, to join family for a cookout for Dad at my brother's cabin. Should be a good time. I return tomorrow evening, and then everything's wide open. The beach, camping... not sure what I'll do, but at least it won't be in that office. For all you Dads, Sons and Daughters, have a good Father's Day.

  23. Did you ever think if you let them fight to determine dominance that maybe they'll settle down afterward, for good? I am not a dog psychologist, the idea just came to me as I was reading this again this morning. I wish you could find an easy solution for them to co-habitate in peace.
