  2. First day of my trip to Colorado, I made it to East St. Louis, MO from the Eastern Shore of MD. I parked and slept in a rest stop. Looking back and realizing where I was, that was probably not smrt.
  3. I fear the full, awesome effect of that would be lost once the hair grows back, though, Jacket. And it would not take long. It's like kudzu back there. HB, PCS!
  4. Our customer-pay labor rate is $48. It takes 2 hours labor to set up a car on a frame machine and measure the structure. Then whatever labor it takes to return the car to factory spec by pulling the unibody. Just guessing off the top of my head as a cost estimate for you, but a simple "2 and 2" (2 hours setup & measure, 2 hours pull) would cost $192 + tax at a bodyshop. That could be all it needs, just sayin'. And Jacket... oh man. Good luck to you in your search for the perfect DD.
  5. I believe all driver's education cars should be manuals. It should be a basic driving skill to know how.

Three on the tree... I've driven many, and all without power steering, an extra treat at low speeds when turning. First, down and back. Second, up and forward. Third, down and forward. Reverse, up and back, with neutral in the vague middle ground where you can move the lever forward and back, full travel.
  8. Chicagoland, that market share decline was engineered by FoMoCo by starving the brand... it was largely orchestrated by the parent company at the expense of loyal customers and dealers. A ruthless, cold and calculated puppetmaster move. And furthermore, the current Lincoln lineup sucks ass. Milquetoast at best with all of their latest entries.
  9. Looking around the world, what do you guys think is the coolest car brand not currently sold in the USA? I nominate Citroen. Their designs are just so interesting and unique lately, it would be great to have them return to our country to shake things up.
  10. At what point does a Mini become a Maxi? When the payment is due, it would definitely be a heavy cash flow day.

  12. Post 'em if you got 'em! It's June already, so the cool cars are coming out of their cocoons and swarming the roads. Grab your net, don your safari hat and bring us back some tasty specimens!

  14. I grew up on a farm, I've seen a lot of things. But that actually traumatized me. I woke up at 4 a.m. seeing that gif in my head. What kind of person keeps a snapping turtle as a pet? What enjoyment can one get out of a snapping turtle? Unless it is just the sick need to watch it eat. A serial killer in training or something akin to that. That turtle needs to be in the swamp, fending for itself. I have a feeling that after its species has remained unchanged for probably a million years, it would survive.

  16. My grandparents called it Decoration Day, because folks would decorate the graves of service members who fell in service to our country.
  17. Whoa, I had to click on the little green "+" sign when I saw that one.
  18. Looks like a fun trip.

  23. I think I want to go camping for the first time this season. Watch for glare until I get a bit of a tan.
  24. Happy Birthday, you two.
