  1. Drew, are you a mind reader? Because I've been looking into Dodge Dakotas lately, as well. I see so many of that style on the road. They're stout trucks, not too small, not too big. Just about right. That blue one looks great.

  3. Tragedy averted. Thanks.

  5. That video just told me something horrible. The back seat does NOT fold down? How is GM going to get ppl out of their SUVs and into a car, when it has such an impractical feature as a FIXED rear seatback? I think the Impreza sedan also lacks a folding rear seatback... LAME. Even a Camaro and Challenger have folding rear seats, for crying out loud.
  6. I think the Flex is wicked. The 3-series is not bad, esp. the coupe. And I liked the 1-Series instantly, with its small, spunky attitude.

    I think I found him. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  9. vonVee, you're right, the Lucerne and Impala still use that nice, thick, soft cloth material. Although, after viewing reg's link to the M/T gallery photo of the Cruze Echo Eco's gray cloth interior, it appears at least the center section of that car's seats doesn't use that cheap looking upholstery.
  10. When I see a beloved old '90s Cherokee parked next to a new Liberty, I'm like whoa. The Liberty is giant. The Cherokee was maneuverable, simple, rugged and reliable.

  12. Next you'll have to save a black '80's Trans Am with a red strobe light in the front and a funny British accent.
  13. Speaking of Camino's old Chevy truck, I miss that really thick, soft seat upholstery material GM used to use, as in his Silvy. Nowadays, the cloth they use is not soft to the touch, nor does it feel thick. It is a bit like a metal file in texture. I guess the best seats I've had in a vehicle were the heated leather ones in my '00 GTI 1.8t... but honestly, I've been comfortable in all of my vehicles. It is unfamiliar ones that don't fit my ass or my back that give me trouble.
  14. White over Coral circa 1957 Oldsmobile four door sedan at a semi-local diner.
  15. "Fussy" is a good adjective to describe the pretty, but city-fied Equinox and Terrain. There's a whole lotta country between the Atlantic and Pacific... plus Alaska and Hawaii, so there's a bunch of locales where ppl need something simple, rugged and affordable. Such a GMT355-based SUV could EASILY sell well in Central and South America, Australia and Europe, too.

    V4s

GM has their Atlas 2.9L I-4 in the GMT355.
  17. Does he look healthy? I wonder where him mama is.
  18. Yes sirree.
  19. I'd love to see a new front clip, new interior (although I don't mind the current one), DI on the engines and 6 speed manual and auto transmissions in the GMT355 platform. Then a 2- and 4-door SUV would really sweeten the deal.
  20. Thanks for the link, hyper. I was able to check all over the GM lineup for 2011 changes. Aqua Blue dropped from Camaro for 2011, but re-added to the Colorado lineup. Cool.
  21. A new car that is a break from the past, if properly hidden before introduction day, can be a shock to the nervous system. With time, the shock wears off, and the design becomes familiar and right.

  25. This has got to be your worst post ever. I'm sorry to hear it. Let us know what you plan to do. It seems what was once a mainstay of the American road is becoming a rarer sight day by day. Sigh.
