This morning it was a factory stock '57 Bel Air post sedan in yellow with white top. This evening it was a cream color Jeep Comanche Pioneer in really nice shape.

There are a few still on the roads around my area. Mostly wagons, and I think I've seen one blue sedan. I'd love to see an SX/4 like the one in the ad. Proof that when you're the little guy, you have to use what you've got, and these were gems of innovation.

Well, sorry she had to go through The School of Hard 'Nox to get her new CUV, but damn, that's a good looking trucklet. I hope it serves her well, and I hope she can find another dealer with a good service department for her maintenance needs.

They are very reliable jalopies. AKA hoopties. They might sound as though they're falling apart, but they will not. Ever. If you can live with that feeling, go for it.

Uh... buy a gas can, put two gallons in it and carry it around in the back of the car until and if you decide to fix it. I graduated, too.

The Colorado/Canyon bashing in the article had me concerned for about 5 minutes... then I remembered my own personal experience going back to 1983 with GM compact trucks, and I wondered wtf they're talking about.
