    NA Zeta

Stepford ocn: "Give me a Corsa diesel automatic, please."
  2. Very tough looking, GMTG. I'd like to see it in black with an extended cab shortbed.
  3. Congrats on the Maxx, Mr. Neon! I always liked them, too.
  4. Love it. Very "Lincoln-y", very "old money". Solidly elegant. Love the strong shoulder line with the kickup suggesting the '61 Continental. Love the horizontal taillamp cluster (it is missing the "spare tire hump", but that's perfectly ok with me), love the double-shield grille. Overall it conveys an essence of Lincoln design that is recognizable and good. I certainly hope this vehicle makes it to the showroom more intact than the MKS did.
  5. It's sexy, it's tough, it's not a goddamned Saturn Flextreme. For that, I give it two thumbs up. Go, Dodge Boys!
  6. The Crewman Ute, here as a GMC, sounds terrific (I cannot wait to see it!), but I also support a true midsize pickup truck from GM sold in many countries, which, through a simpler design, could be sold for less money than the Zeta-based vehicles. GM do Brasil has been building S-10 pickups for ages... Hummer H3 is based on GMT355... why can't they engineer the NG platform... it's the same as Holden engineering the awesome Zeta platform... GM's "homeroom" concept, where engineering for a given platform is concentrated in a specific region of the world.
  7. Well, she looks very happy with you right now. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Motor Trend announced it, too, Camino.
  9. Enthusiasts are THE most loyal group of customers a car company can hope for. We pay attention. And we are trendsetters, we are the men and women who are first to purchase the newest, coolest thing out of our favorite company. We get the product on the road first for the rest of the potential market to see and hopefully buy as well, a trickle-down effect. We are GM's best advertisement.
  10. We're being told that we're not a prime market anymore, GM's hometown or not. We will be assimilated. Those of us with reasonable expectations will be disappointed. Those of us who are indifferent to the automobile will notice no difference. In the future, GMNA vehicles will grow wool and say "baahhhh" when the horn button is pressed. Yes, the CTS coupe is a stunner... it is a Cadillac. The Camaro is a stunner... but with no platform mates to support the investment here in NA, how long will it last? Big deal... a Buick bound for China, is that going to keep the Camaro viable? Enthusiasts who are GM loyalists (and that herd is thinning daily as time ticks with no answers from GM brass), who are everyday Americans on a budget, are being told that they cannot have what they want, it is that simple (nana na NA naaaah naah). Who will take up the slack?
  11. The glee with which some people report bad news is absolutely disgusting.
  12. Busy busy, huh? :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Duuuude, like, pass it... :AH-HA_wink:
  14. Aw haaaiilll nah... what is wrong with me... I actually like this new Camry Matrix.
  15. Millenia who?
  16. You two are so cute together. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. I liked the Demon, but this is a horrible development. If they wanted to share a platform, why not with Datsun?
  18. The huge post running through the driver's rear sight line is totally impractical. Overall, it's another nearly featureless blob with nice rims, just what I expect from GM's entire future lineup.
  19. When do we get to see pictures? :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Well, I am a fan of RWD for large cars, but every RWD car does not have to be a performance car. The 3.5L Charger is a sweet car, for example.
  21. Those are nice, do you have a local independent shop that specializes in Jags?
  22. I live in a development installed on the outskirts of the city in the mid-80's, on a cul-de-sac. It's fairly quiet here most of the time, but pastoral memories of growing up on a 300-acre farm are with me all the time. Ah, to be able to pee off my deck if I want to... And a base model HHR is pretty well-equipped... HHR LS with roof rails, $16,900 or so, MSRP (before the certain heavy discount)... then all I'd need are the 17" chrome split-spoke Chevy Accessory rims to set it off instead of the crappy wheelcovers. Imperial Blue with Ebony interior.
  23. A "heated encounter", eh? Sounds like both of you were "in heat".:AH-HA_wink: Yes, I am thinking about chucking everything as well. I've been studying the Chevrolet HHR all weekend... and I've been studying cottage and cabin house plans. My dream is to buy a piece of ground in the country and build a simple cottage with solar heat.
