  1. That depends on what equipment you have. :AH-HA_wink: Anyhoo, gold '67 Impala sedan with old-skool slotted mag wheels.
  2. Well, the old bodystyle and Toyota's truck attitude weren't as offensive then. Still, fascinating pic. Thanks!
  3. What? Where are you getting those figures from?
  4. Not cool. I hope you didn't do permanent damage to the engine.
  5. Well sure, ZL-1. A Crown Vic is a rare sight in Lesbian, no doubt.

  7. Got a little shower of sleet this morning. I was out and about this afternoon running errands, and once in a while I'd see a vehicle with an icy nose (freezing rain accumulation), other than that it's been raining here, blah.
  8. If someone would be so kind as to post a pic of a totaled new Tundra, I'd be much appreciative. Danka Shane.
  9. My boss is graciously allowing me to use a vehicle until the truck is fixed. I am happy and thankful not to have to deal with my insurance company's restrictive rental car policy (rental days based on estimate repair hours, with no regard to waiting for parts.) However, it's an '07 Taurus. Ew. But it is wheels, it is better than walking.
  10. It was supposed to start here last night, but we have nothing yet. If we do get snow, this will put us behind even more at work. We are slammed right now with tow-ins all over the place.
  11. I feel like I am losing ground. My fixed-rate mortgage payment inches ever-upward due to local tax increases. Gasoline, and, subsequently, food have gone up considerably in the last year. Since my accident, I am sure my insurance premiums will rise. And I haven't had a raise in 4 years. So... gasoline prices affect my budget. It now takes over $70 to fill up my truck when it used to take about $45. It certainly affects my ability to keep my money in the bank. Yes, this time of year I drive less than when I am traveling in the summer, going camping or to the beach, but what's it going to be like next summer? I am pessimistic about my situation, and I am sure I am not alone.
  12. Ah, I am sure reg will thank you for this one, Mr. Fly, as will all of the brave souls who've purchased one of these babies. I defended the Aztek in your "Banana Edition" thread before reading this. As students of history, we know that to be an Aztek means you have to sacrifice something at some point. :AH-HA_wink:

  14. That's what happens when a car sits a long time then becomes a daily driver. *scratches head* wait, where have I heard that before? Viper, you knew that before Camino said it, so I won't scold you for starting another thread. A car like this is something you can't just press into daily service hoping for perfection. Problems will surface due to the car's age and being parked longterm, but once they are all fixed, it would still make a fun car to preserve and drive on weekends. Which means... yes, it is time for you to look into getting something more worry-free. We're all behind you on that and wish you luck with car #4.
  15. I give a casual finger to every new Tundra driver I meet on the road. um even as I am driving a crappy (but helpful in time of crisis) '07 Taurus loaner car, sigh.

    Um...Aztek?

:rotflmao: GOOD LORD! This Aztek owner is quite the swinger (get it? ha), apparently getting some Pontiaction every night. Reg, you're not alone in your admiration for the poor ol' Aztek. Those who've been brave enough to purchase one find them to be immensely useful. I'm sure resale is horrible, but you can drive it into the ground to make up for that and be assured you'll get more than your money's worth.
  17. How receptive would your insurance agent be if you gave him a list of potential vehicles for rate quotes? Are you on your parents' insurance? Those are some nice looking Firebirds, btw. Although the green one is the only front-wheel drive Firebird known to exist, ha.
  18. *hic* alcohol
  19. Hehe, the only curves on that whole car are the wheel arches...
  20. OMG Camino, you actually like the new Kia Death concept car?
  21. I was just checking satellite photos, and it seems our own Oldsmoboi has been nabbed and spirited away in a new black Sequoia. Wait, that was totally unbelievable and doesn't in any way shape or form conjure the fear and intrigue of being nabbed and spirited away in a black Suburban...
  22. Thanks, Mr. Scharmer. Yeah, I deal with this stuff every day, on other people's vehicles. It hurts when it happens at home.
  23. Yeah. One post over there was enough.
  24. If that happens, someone needs to squeeze his widdle head like a pimple...
