  3. Hehehe, the puppy looks so silly. OMG.
  4. Yes, that is possible, or they could be waiting to hear from you or their insured. Have you given them your statement? Some police agencies drag their butts when it comes to paperwork. I would be calling them to see what the hold-up is, they'll tell you.
  5. Wow, is it true? Boss 429?
  6. I think the H3 is based on the GMT355 platform, not GMT360, but anyhoo. There's a local radio station, and one of the morning guys has an H3 for his personal vehicle. He does his own ads for it on his show, and every time he says it comes as a V6 or a V8, I want to reach through my speaker and smack him, the dummy. He prolly never opened his hood.
  7. Ugh, I'll be no help. I haven't slept through the night in like 5 weeks now, stressed out from several angles. Vipes, listen to Camino then get back to me please.
  8. Put Frosty in there with him and make a delicious Holiday smoothie.

    Hola All!

Anyway, good luck with things, Mr. Shift.
  10. I prefer the styling details of the Saturn over the GMC Lambda. Congratulations to your mom.
  11. Wow, your speedometer goes up to 220?
  12. How could they go from CTS to... this? One Tundra owner started an excited thread over in the Motor Trend forums, his nick is "xtreme". I had to smack him down a little bit. If anyone ever gets over there to the MT forums, check it out. Here's what I said: A word of caution: please don't put the trophy on the tailgate. It's not meant for such heavy use. And try not to Move Forward with too much enthusiasm, you might break a camshaft, torque converter or u-joint. Oh, and don't wreck it, you might hurt yourself with your 4-star crash rating. One more thing, please don't forget to put a bag over your head before going for a drive... you really don't want people to see you driving such an out-of-proportion, ugly Atomic Tadpole, do you?
  13. All the big media outlets... Motor Trend, Car&Driver, Autoweek, are giving the HHR SS very positive reviews. Starting at $22,995, this is a unique vehicle in the market, and I think it will do fine. I want one.
  14. Well I tried to post this response this morning during my normal time, but the server wouldn't let me. Bob, I consider you a "Lifetime Member" of C&G. Yes, we have grated each other like aged romano from time to time, but you'll always be a part of this place.
  15. Well, Happy Birthday, KayCee. Do you feel like a Stepford Wife yet? :AH-HA_wink:
  16. Hey, wait a minit... when did "Cimarron" get uncensored?
  17. '08 Malibu 1LT 2.4L, in Sandstone with cocoa/tan interior. That's the first I've seen that interior color combo, it really looks attractive, with the wood trim. Well done!
  18. The TTs are awesome. I liked the non-metallic battleship gray on the first-gen, I wonder if that's available on the new one.
  19. Hehe, I can tell when a trailer hitch went into a bumper from a mile away. Glad the truck wasn't hurt. Good to hear you're learning and enjoying driving RWD in the snow. You'll be fine, just keep your head on your shoulders. And the birthday thing... sigh. I feel your pain. Don't let it get you down, Vipes, and don't hold it against your friends, just be cool.
  20. Somewhere, I am sure somebody is getting 16/22 with their 5.3L Sierra, but it ain't me. My overall average after 12k miles is 15.5 mpg. This truck is a constant temptation... I just love to hear that Flowmaster muffler. It makes me wild. I am sure if I had an F-body, it'd be the same thing... a lot of urban driving is my reality.

    CAFE of death

We have a diesel Liberty in the shop right now. That thing sounds awesome, and I'm sure gets about 25 mpg when a 3.7L gas Liberty would probably be averaging 18-19. Let me clarify: I'd love to have a diesel engine option in every GM car and truck. If the engine option were no more than $2k, I think they'd be able to get more people into diesels, especially when people see the mileage ratings. I'd love to go Ethanol/Biodiesel. Let our farmers become the new sheiks! What I am against is government interference into something they don't know much about... because the government always screws things up. If the energy bill included a phase-in of much higher ethanol production and a requirement that all cars and trucks be flex-fuel by a certain date, I'd be all for it. That would lessen our dependence on foreign oil without the pain of ruining our vehicle choices.
  22. So, it's a Gutless Supreme? Vipes, maybe you have a clogged catalytic converter... maybe that is a contributor to the exhaust leak, a weak spot blown out because the converter is clogged. The exhaust gases need to go somewhere. That could also cause the lack of power, the rattling and the check engine light to come on. Check it out. Do you have emissions testing in your area as part of State Inspection? If not, why not cut the converter off and stick a straight pipe in there. If you do, a universal converter is not that expensive.
  23. I am resisting buying a sedan, although the G6 SVG is a decent car and a good value. I was surprised today, I went to a Pontiac/GMC dealer south of me and saw a sweet G5 GT in Nitrous Blue (Pontiac's Blue Flash) with black leather and sunroof... durn thing stickers for $21k! Somebody told me there is a $2k rebate right now though, not sure of that.
  24. Backwards into the lake?
  25. Thanks for all the input so far, folks. My mom's car shows an average speed of 26 mph, and average mpg of 28.9 after 11k miles. That shows what kind of driving she does with hers.
