  1. I just filled up the truck yesterday. Now that I'm not doing any highway driving to bring my average up (camping, the beach, etc.), my lead foot has resulted in a 14.3 mpg result this tank.
  2. I don't walk myself, but for the last two years I have helped make milkshakes at a local event.
  3. It'd be interesting to read how Opel Astra reliability compares to VW Golf reliability in their home market. Should tell us how the GM car will fare here, relatively, since I imagine the only changes made were for US standards.
  4. I just read today in one of the reviews that Suzuki sells more cars worldwide a year than Mazda, Mitsubishi and BMW. And the SX4 is based on the Swift, a car that has won accolades for driving pleasure in the normally super-nationalistic British motor press.
  5. sheep I saw that movie 4 times in the theater, bought the DVD first day it was available, and haven't been able to watch it, even once. One of these days I will build up the courage.
  6. I like this car, it is goodlooking and well-equipped, but it is expensive. The Rabbit 3 door has 30 more horsepower and starts over $3000 less, yet it has a lot of the same features. The ASTRA 3 door with any options is priced near GTI territory... a car with much more cachet, not to mention 60 more horsepower and much more torque, with most likely comparable mileage figures. And with Saturn's continued MSRP-only selling practices, I am not sure we have a winner on our hands. Time will tell, I guess.
  7. Hey uh, what do you guys think of the Suzuki SX4 sedan and wagon? It has won good reviews everywhere I check for spunk and value.
  8. Uh, Viper... you use a funnel and fill it at the dipstick tube.
  9. The interior is flat-out nice... it'd be cool if there were a "Buick Brown" color for the exterior to match that interior. The exterior walks that line between conservative and adventurous, nicely tailored.

    A sweet one-off.

  12. Wait a minute... I think I see a hint of the crosshatch grille in vegas_hound's picture there.
  13. Yeah when I ordered my Sierra, I got the usual "6-8 weeks" rule for factory orders. It came in in FIVE WEEKS. It killed me to leave it sit on the lot for a week or so until I sold my Colorado.
  14. The sheet throws the whole outfit off. :AH-HA_wink:
  15. Two '08 Focus SE coupes at the local dealership. I swear this little car has grown on me considerably since we first saw it. It looks classy, more expensive than it is, a decent effort.

  19. Toni I think you misunderstand... I think he meant the automatic transmission dilutes the SS image, not the sedan bodystyle. I could be wrong.
  20. Yous have fun!

  22. So what are you saying... they're... FLYing off the lots? :AH-HA_wink: Cool.
  23. I'd guess I had about 25 kids all together. Most of them were shy and polite as their parents stood out on the sidewalk, but a couple of the boys were like hardened little criminals already, just grabbing candy without even looking at me and taking off to the next house. This is actually the first year I've done this, and all in all it was fine. I had Snickers, S'mores, white chocolate Reece Cups, and Peppermint Patties to hand out.
  24. Pontiac Vibe looks much better. Shame it has the same soul.
  25. Shadow? Oh, wait... Lancer? Whoops, uh... Aspen? Volare? Shoot, lemme think... LeBaron GTS? Hmmm... I guess I'm stumped.
