  2. Well, as the parental units were leaving last evening, neighbor was outside and yelled over "Dad got a new car, eh? Now it's your turn. Time for a new truck!"
  3. Comcast already provides a sperm blocker for my email, why would I want a pill for it?
  4. Well, it's a Dark Silver Metallic Impala LT, a 2007 with 13k miles on it. It's got the light gray bench seat interior. Stepmom doesn't care for the light-colored upholstery, and she wants a spoiler put on it. Hard to believe after the cool cars of his youth, but stepmom is sportier than dad at this point. "Well, we've officially joined the old geezer club," was his comment. Then he said maybe he'll put 20s on it. Yeah, I am not holding my breath. I did point out that they can probably buy a body-color spoiler from their dealership with a template for installation.

    Dead Dime.

Aww.. Mr. Jacket, I just like taking things out of context for effect sometimes, certainly didn't mean anything by that. How's your vehicle search going?

  9. Ladies and gentlemen, it appears Borger has unwittingly revealed the secret behind his constant use of the phrase "tick tock". It has nothing to do with Pontiac. He's obsessed by a daggone Weeble clock!
  10. Well, we all know that different cars are used to benchmark different systems on a new car. Perhaps the GP was benchmarked for HVAC performance or something.
  11. FOG, I think you mean 3-stage. Blue Flash has a purple pearl effect, similar to the old Mystic Teal. The recent Blue-Gold Crystal has a gold pearl effect. They're cool, but a bit trendy. Who's to say how this would affect resale, if at all?
  12. It's a shame, but all of these "build your own" sites, no matter the manufacturer, give horrible representations of metallic colors. Is "Stealth Blue" the same as "Blue Flash" that is a GMNA color for '08? Is "White Hot" a nice, clean non-pearl white, or is it a crappy pearl? There should be a few more colors available, for example, I'd like to see a nice dark blue and dark green... and a non-metallic black. I wish prices were up. I want to see how much a 3.6L with premium and comfort&sound packages and a sunroof costs.
  13. I would take a base model 128i hardtop just to get a sweet, small RWD car. I hope for great things out of Alpha. You can bet the Japanese are working on small, sporty, affordable RWD cars as we speak.

    BMW resale

I hope my friend Ryan goes for a 3-series he's been wanting instead of an IS300 for his "nice" car. I asked him "why would you want a Toyota, when you can have the real thing?"
  15. Mr. caddycruiser, my reply to his "we think you should get one" assimilation attempt wasn't snappy or funny, all I said was "uh... no." He did chuckle at that. This afternoon he was ringing my doorbell like non-stop wanting to borrow my drill, then my bits, then to bring them back, etc. etc. I swear he likes me or something. Yesterday with his wife and daughter away at her parents', he made a point to say "yeah, I'm home alone..." (pregnant pause). Yikes.
  16. No pretenses, it is what it is... cool.

  20. That's the "beauty" of Gore's internet. No matter what galaxy The Borg(er) is in, he can attempt to assimilate us. That's why I've been wearing my tin foil hat for weeks whenever I see "anonymous user" on the list.

  22. How typically "New England" of your wife to want one of these. She's an old sweetie (the CAR!). And yes... I wouldn't mind owning an old Benz, as there is something permanent about them. That M-B Tex vinyl upholstery no doubt has a 100-year lifespan.
