    Holy SHiT

Just a normal drive into work for me. Day in, day out, 5 days a week. No but, that looks like spectacular fun!
  2. To me, a car has to be ready to be junked before it is destroyed. This thing may just be someone's grandfather's car that suddenly wasn't needed by the family. Maybe they had a bit of trouble selling it or whatnot. Yes, I am not a fan of those X-cars because to me, they symbolize the start of the misguided FWD "revolution" that has plagued GM since the spring of '79, but... by the sound of it, it seems a shame to let a clean example die.

  4. Sixty4, feel better soon, bud. I still have mine, and as far as I know, they haven't given me problems.
  5. Your car is looking very good, Nos, so clean. It would look even better with no wing atall... very low and ground-hugging, what a performance car should look like, imo. I've also been wanting to see an SS/SC with the rear end "cove" painted black. Use the bumper cover seam above the taillights as the top border, extending across the decklid at that level, then the bodylines outboard of the taillights for the outer border... finally the lower crease on the decklid for the lower border... that area painted gloss black might look cool. I'd like to see someone photoshop that. A painted rear end cove has been used before on Chevys for dramatic effect... the Corvair Corsa and the SS Concept sedan spring to mind immediately, with their silver coves.
  6. Um... you took pictures of a Lincoln Town Car? Strange... Nah, seriously, sweet boat.
  7. I've been thinking of a project. I want to rent a Camry, dress up like Ricky Bobby, drive to a Chevy dealer, park it within eyesight of their parts counter, go in with my Ricky Bobby accent and ask for some Chivvalay stickers for my race cor. I can have a hissy fit "They gave me this danged Ty ota and I wanted me a Chivvalay! I want some Chivvalay stickers for my race cor, dammit! Boogady Boogady! Shake N Bake, baby!"
  8. Hey, Happy Birthday to our intrepid traveller.

  10. Oh look, it's Hairy Potter!
  11. A work of art in miniature. Sweet!
  12. Welcome, 2chevs. This is a good spot for this kind of thread. Hopefully someone can help you out.
  13. Well, it does have a certain appeal.
  14. Oh man, you weren't lyin'. It IS small. Thanks for the pic.
  15. Mr. Trees, YOU sir are a funny boy.
  16. Send it to me again, just to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
  17. One of the secrets, imo, of a successful luxury car company is design cohesiveness across the model range... witness Cadillac, Benz, BMW... Infiniti's designs have been all over the map. This looks good and fits with the family. One of the better looking Datsuns. While I've always liked the FX, the design is out of the blue.
  18. I have seen this same horrible lighting technique in other Motor Trend photos as well. Blech.
  19. What a cheeky little monkey. Cute.
  20. The added bling seems forced. I think the problem is the general shape of this car... too technical, too squared off. The '08 CTS is still A&S, but it has attractive curves to compliment the angles, something this car lacks.

  22. If I'm reading this right, this sucka has the 5.3L V8 with a 4.10 rear end, and it still only turns 8 seconds to 60? I know this is not a drag racer... but that seems slow, especially for that low of a rear end. That is ONE second quicker to 60 than published figures for the 3.7L 5 cylinder.
