    sciguy... all of the domestic competition aced this government test. The foreign truck, Tundra, got a worse rating. The testing is done in a controlled manner for comparative purposes.

    Thanks for posting that, Camino. Great piece. Bill Mitchell's genius has long been fascinating to me. Do you really think he would have let the Commodore see the light of day here in the USA as a Pontiac? Doubtful.

    A fastback Fiero, painted the same color as my truck... with an interesting custom front end, with exposed headlights and a different bumper from stock.

    Genre magazine has just reviewed her album, and they say she is "one of the best new artists to come along in years." I'd have to agree.

    I see nothing wrong with the Phantom's door trim panel. You can bet it is built with the best materials. The Maybach's is also very fine looking, like furniture in a smoking lounge. In the others, save the Town Car, I see some design similarities... smooth, flat arcs dominate, with tightly pulled materials.

    Congrats, Mr. Golden. Yeah, the Mariner seems a bit girly, imo. A Civic, eh? Well, better something with some soul, like a Honda or Nissan, rather than an evil snoozemobile Toyota. Please post your avatar as a fullsize pic if you feel like it, so we can see it better, sir.

    On the Chinese LaCrosse: I'd like to see the rear end adhere to tradition more, like the Lucerne. It needs horizontal taillamps and portholes. And someone said the front looks like a Sable, I agree with that. The interior is a knockout, and I like the squarer front fenders and the greenhouse. You can tell it's a W-body in the windshield/A-pillar area, and the roof ditch moldings.

    I like that cap, but it has a textured finish, which cannot be painted. There is an aftermarket company that makes smooth, paintable caps for the 800s, I'm waiting for them to make one for the 900s. I saw that on the HDs, though, BP, and I am tempted.
