    F**K.

    I feel your pain, BV.
  2. Love the Holden, but not the Benz.
  3. I'm also a veteran of the braided rug highway! I have some things from my family's past that are precious to me as well. I treasure my Grandfather's cups that he won racing his horse and a newspaper clipping mentioning one of his victories. His horse was named "Whatnot" as he did double-duty as both a race horse and work horse. Some of the things I have are worth a couple of bucks maybe, but even through all of the financial agony I've been dealing with, they are not for sale. Some things just matter more than money. And some things matter even when they have no monetary value. They tie us to our past with texture and solidity you can feel with your hands - and that is something special.
  4. While both of those European imports should stay out of this country in my opinion, we forget that this law reflects the will of the people of Arizona who have to face the issue everyday. You know, those folks that the feds have failed to protect by performing their most basic duty as charged by the constitution. I suspect that Arizonans would happily repeal this law if the federal government could prove that it was doing its job.
  5. Let people be responsible for their own safety- what a novel idea.
  6. That article really is snide and condescending.
  7. Not one, but two first gen Viper GTSs on my way home from my walkway job. Saw them within 5 minutes of each other: a red one with ducktail spoiler, and a blue one with white stripes and the big stick-up-in-the-air spoiler.
  8. I think everyone is missing the real point of all of this. This law is more motivated by the near-civil war in parts of Mexico that is spilling across the border into Arizona than it is by undocumented workers. It's bad, very bad. Arizona has enacted this law out of desperation, not some sort of witch hunt. The Feds didn't act, so Arizona did. And, by acting, have now gotten everyone's attention including Congress and the Prez. Maybe that's all they wanted. Beats being ignored and left to deal with the situation.
  9. I like this.

    F**K.

Sounds like the pad fractured and a chunk fell-off. Rotors and pads are an easy fix, can be done before the engine cools.
  11. Probably needs a fuel pump/sending unit, that could be setting the SES. Common problem with in-tank pumps on injected cars. Not fun, not cheap, but worth doing.
  12. Don't scare me like that, Ocn! I thought some dizzy Camry owner broadsided it.
  13. Seems like you've been looking forever, Reg. Glad you finally found one to take home.
  14. I guess that counts.
  15. I smoke like a chimney, but not in my cars. It is alot of car for the price though, I think it could be worth the effort to clean it up.
  16. I don't think I'd do flares on that truck - it looks good clean.
  17. Yup. Same car, different panels.
  18. Short of any major issues, it's a hell of a deal for a car capable of giving you hundreds of thousands of miles. Excellent transpo piece.
  19. Not sure if the '83 Camaro convertible was an RPO option or not, but it was done by an outside company.
  20. A few from the weekend: Early Jaguar E-Type coupe in white, perfect, cruising. Early sixties Chryco midsize (Belvedere? Coronet?) full-on prostreet style with steamroller tires and a polished blower standing tall above its hoodless engine bay. All done up in a burgundy metallic looking (and sounding) fantastic. Another burgundy beauty: a '75 Caprice convertible, immaculate and for sale.
  21. I'm sure some already hold such an opinion of my jawbone. But that's ok, it's usually mutual. Glad to see you checking in PCS, hope all is well with you.
  22. Good for her!
  23. "Meet the new boss..."
