  1. Thanks for the good wishes. Saw the surgeon today, got the skinny (and three presciptions). Now I have to do a cost-benefit analysis on the level of pain relief/anesthesia. I'll be losing the tooth responsible (no great loss since it never came in), and maybe one other, and getting a bone graft. It's going to be a big deal since the tooth is way up in my gum under my nose and above another tooth. The worst part is that I have another tooth just like this one on the other side...
  2. I so wish I could have gotten a video! You guys would have been rolling.
  3. Thanks guys. I should have a better idea about what has to happen on friday when I see the surgeon.
  4. Yup, knew about all of those. Can't figure this one out - it sounds like a McLaren F1 with an extra pair of wheels.
  5. First thing that came to my mind was this:
  6. Thanks Loki, I'm not feeling too optimistic right about now.
  7. +1
  8. Needles are the least of my worries. When the dentist says things like "possible disfigurement" and "they may want to crack your pallet and go in that way", I get a bit edgy.
  9. Yeah, I'm not fond of dentists so they do run a risk... All joking aside, this could be a major crisis both physically and financially. It has me jumpy. I'm hoping that there is a "wait and watch" option, but it doesn't look good.
  10. ...major dental surgery. I am not a happy camper.
  11. It wasn't a new Accord, but not ancient and in pretty good shape otherwise.
  12. ... the front wheel fly off of an Accord and cross 4 lanes of traffic. The driver stepped out of the car and let out a loud "F$%k!". I just laughed.
  13. I almost feel as if I'd need to drive prototypes of each formula before I could decide.
  14. Thanks for the compliment. You might be surprised to know that I am leaning in the direction of the TT V6. But I am still mulling the idea over. There are some factors that have me debating with myself. - Alpha is going to be package-protected for a V8 last I heard. - The V6 adds cost, weight, and complexity - The positioning relative to the CTS-V concerns me (it has to be just right) - The Camaro is likely to share quite a bit of the "dirty bits" with this car. - the snob factor of DOHC I keep running scenarios in my head which don't net me a clear winner.
  15. Yeah, around here BMWs are as common as Camrys.
  16. Couldn't disagree more. Yesterday I saw a bangled 750 following a pre-bangle 750, both in blue. The older car looked elegant, with a taut body stretched over the chassis in a purposeful fashion. The newer car just looked fat and dumpy as it plodded along behind.
  17. UPDATE: The kit is at a local nature center with several others that were orphaned. While eating, and apparantly healthy, it is suspected to be blind in at least one eye. I may have seen the mother this morning. I'll post when I here more.
  18. My pleasure.
  19. I'm still not ready to vote...

    Hey 68!

Clean out your PM mailbox! I didn't want you to miss this, so follow the links:
  21. That's DF's "ZTS" chop, one of the coolest things you missed in your absence.
  22. Wait. You want them to copy BMW's straight six in order to have an "exclusive" engine?
  23. True. Arkus does have some history concerning foxes.
  24. Agreed on the torque issue, not so sure about casting my vote just yet. Higher price and more weight are serious concerns, but I do see the TT 3.6 fitting into Caddy's portfolio better. Tough call.
  25. KC's beautiful GXP gracing the top of the forums.
